If you’re on the fence about making an appointment…DO IT!! You will love your outcome!! She has done highlights and Brazilian blowouts for me. Both have had fantastic results!!
I went in for a cut and color. I came out to extremely fried hair. I am a brunette that has recently accepted my grays coming in and wanted to get some highlights with a blend of gray. She told me it was doable but the color might not be exactly what I want it yet. Ok, that’s fine. I know it can be a process. I had bleach on my hair for 3 hours with 20 minutes of that under the heat seat. Once everything was washed she was having a very hard time coming through it and said she didn’t get all of the dye out so I was sent back to the sink for another rinse. I believe that was an excuse to put more conditioner in my hair. After getting back to the seat I took a look and was completely shaken up because I saw the damage. I could literally touch my hair and I was falling apart. She saw me getting upset and said she told me before that it might happen. No, what she told me was the color might not be what I wanted. That can be fixed. She applied 2 different solutions to my hair, one being a serum to mask the damage. It looked ok but still fried after I walked out. Once I got out in the humidity my hair started to look like a birds nest. I’m am so upset and now have to start the process of trying to repair my hair before I can get anything else done to it after I finally got it to the length I wanted. If it wasn’t something that could be done without extreme damage to my hair I think a true professional would not have done it and explained.
I'm vacationing in the area, so I made an appointment with Christy. She did an amazing job on my hair. She is so kind and pleasant to talk to. Makes me want to move down here just so she can do my hair!
Sadly, that’s my first negative review in my life . I am very disappointed with my haircut . When I returned home , straightened out my hair, I noticed uneven length and there were multiple layers in the front . The next day I returned to the salon to get my hair fixed. Luz apologized, fixed it, and I was happy with the results. Once I got home, however, I noticed very obvious layers in the back that I was not able to see. I think it looks horrible ;( I am disappointed and sad as the hairdresser didn’t fix what was very noticeable . I was left with horrible haircut not realizing this ;( I really didn’t want to write this review , that’s why I sent an email two days ago but with no response. Just be careful .☹️
Update :
I called 3 weeks after ( I was too upset to call earlier ) to get the money back and the owner refused !!! I gave 20% tip for this horrible haircut and they refused me my money back !!!! . Ridiculous. They said they give me a free haircut etc . I would never go back. Never, never never . Horrible experience!!!!!!
If I could give this a minus -1, I would. I had a horrible experience. Luz seemed to be at a loss with the cut I requested ( with photo). I specifically asked for attention to getting my pixie cut even on both sides. Nope didn't happen. She took 25 minutes to blow dry my short baby fine hair. Plus she used the largest brush possible. My hair was staning out on end! Then she hyperfocused on thinning the right side only to neglect the left side, which I pointed out at the beginning.I couldn't wait to get out of that chair, worst experience I've ever had. Plus no professionalism. No hello to the new client? I spend a lot of money on hair cuts and highlights but it won't be here. I've been a hair model in NYC and have worked in a PA salon (not cutting though) I've been around salons all my life. This lady would benefit from classes on technique. She does have potential. I guess she tried.
We were in a bind they really pulled through for us. Luz did an excellent job. My daughters regular hair girl was busy and we were a little nervous going to somebody new for a balayage. She did a fabulous job.
Christy has done my hair for years and I am so thankful I have her!!! She’s very knowledgeable when it comes to color!!! I love referring her to all my friends!!!
Worst experience ever. Luz was not clean. She was aggressive in selling Jesus to me. She made it very awkward to be there. After my color was done she said her sister was gonna shampoo my hair while she was working next door in the nail salon. Luz left the store to get her sister. Overall unprofessional, unhygienic and unpleasant. I'm giving it one star because she did a good job blow drying my daughters hair. After which she was tired and couldn't shampoo my hair. I asked her to rinse out the color from my hair. But she insisted she would shampoo my hair. Which she did but I was so aggravated at this point, I just left with my hair dripping wet. She amount she charged was not acceptable either. First and last time going to the salon.
