Best WLM Reviews
This place was fantastic! The food was so good we couldn’t wait to take a picture before digging in. Everything was fresh and flavorful. The restaurant was clean, and the staff was friendly and attentive. If you’re looking for great Korean food, this is definitely worth a visit.
Located in San Francisco’s Lower Nob Hill, ZZAN offers a mix of traditional and modern Korean dishes. Here’s what stood out during my visit:
Cold Noodle Soup: The cold noodle soup is a refreshing choice, especially during warmer weather. The generous portion of noodles combined with kimchi creates a satisfying and tangy flavor. It’s a must-try for those seeking a cooling dish.
Beef Soft Tofu Soup: While the cold noodle soup stole the show, the beef soft tofu soup didn’t disappoint either. The broth lacked a strong fragrance, but the flavor was decent. It’s a comforting option, although it doesn’t stand out as much as the cold noodle soup. Broth fragrance could be improved.
Had a good time eating and drinking here. The beef short Rib was tender full of flavor and had a nice grill marks for that little char. Spicy pork wasn't overpowering good flavor. Cold noodle with kimchi hit the spot for me but if I want to be nitpicking flavor wasn't as delicious as the other dishes. And not to many side dishes like other Korean restaurant I've been to. The side of kimchi was so good. Overall I was happy and the food came out quickly.
Had one of the worst experiences ordering food ever. Ordered one soup, fried chicken, squid and others thru DoorDash at 12:10am at a hotel room thinking that I am gonna eat here and they did not include a spoon or anything to eat with so we had to go down and drive to get silverwares. Chicken was also uncooked and raw so we had to throw away half of it. Wasted $100 on 4 food and didn’t eat half of em because it was uncooked and also had to go find fork and spoon after midnight. Will never eat here again
Think of this spot as the less busy version of Coco Bang nearby(The Kimchi fried rice was slightly worse here but not by much). The food is great, the prices surprisingly reasonable (especially for San Francisco), and you'll find K-pop music videos playing throughout. Just be aware, depending on where you sit, the view of the videos might be partially blocked or reflected in a mirror. If you're not ordering drinks, it's a very affordable meal!
Went here after watching a show in the area. A small quaint place that is open till late. The servers were really nice and friendly. We got kinchi fried rice with chicken and spicy sauce boneless fried chicken. The spicy sauce was more sweet and less spicy and I wish it were the other way around but overall food was decent.
I ordered a vegetarian wanton soup and specifically requested for no meat/seafood/chicken twice! The waiter came back with a soup that had chicken in it. I tasted a piece of chicken when I had the first spoon of the soup. I asked the waiter to take the soup back. Both the waiters (the one who took the order and the one who gave me the food) did not apologize at all.
10 mins later they brought back a soup bowl and the waiter told me that it was vegetarian. I politely refused to accept the bowl for 2 reasons -
1. They still hadn't apologized or even asked me if I wanted a replacement
2. I didn't trust the restaurant could make a meatless dish anymore
At this point, the waiter shook his head, muttered something, hastily took the bowl of soup and threw it into the trash!
When I confronted the waiters on this behavior, they still did not apologize. Finally one of them did, by when it was too late.
food was good! ordered the takoyaki and soft tofu soup with beef. my friend ordered the cold noodle kimchi, and it was very flavorful.
