I went to this restaurant for my bestie birthday. We started at the bar because we arrived earlier than our reservation. Cocktails were amazing . I got lychee and rose petal martini & she got Japanese margarita. For food we got sushi, skirt steak, rib eye , mashed potato, mushrooms , rock shrimp tempura and fried calamari , the food is good quality , fresh and delicious.
All around luxury experience. Went for omakase as a last minute kind of why not and our server was amazing. He explained everything was very charming! Have a cocktail of I could try all I would! Tried their lychee martini and WOW! They also specialize in whiskey so if that’s your thing go for it.
Went here for my birthday and hands down one of my favorite places. The people went above and beyond service and the atmosphere is hard to beat. Management really listens and the food is amazing. You’ll be hard pressed to find a place on this level in NYC or otherwise. Don’t sleep on the sundae and strawberry desserts. Amazing drinks too. We will definitely be coming back.

This is my second time celebrating my birthday at Zuma, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic venue. I can't wait to return for another amazing experience!
What an amazing restaurant! I loved everything about it the decor, food, service, etc. the vibe of the restaurant is so sexy and glamorous. We ordered the rock shrimp, skirt steak, fatty tuna roll and everything was delicious. The waitress was so patient and kind. We didn’t feel rushed during our dining experience. The dessert was my favorite part ofcourse we had to have the iconic Zuma chocolate lava cake and it was the best. If you’re celebrating something special or going for date night this is the perfect spot.

This place is amazing and the service is upper. Our server Isabel was so accommodating and really went above and beyond to help us get out of there in time due to a show we needed to attend.
We had the omakazi experience with the wagyu and I was blown away with every dish.

Zuma New York is an exceptional dining experience. The atmosphere is sophisticated, with a perfect blend of modern and traditional Japanese aesthetics. While the food and drinks were outstanding, what truly elevated the evening was Alex, the bartender on the second floor. Her recommendations were spot-on, guiding us to try dishes and cocktails we wouldn’t have picked on our own but absolutely loved. Her expertise, warmth, and attention to detail made our experience unforgettable. If you’re visiting, be sure to stop by the bar upstairs for her stellar service!
My experience at Zuma New York was overall really nice. The ambience is beautiful and the food was delicious. My two favorites were the semi fatty tuna roll and the chocolate lava cake. As for the service, they were really great in certain areas, however there are certain aspects that could be improved. On one hand, when the kitchen got delayed with my boyfriend’s main course (yaki taraba gani), they apologized and gave us champagne on the house (keep in mind that we lightly mentioned it in passing without complaining). On the other hand, when we wanted the baked cheesecake without cashew crumble, the kitchen refused. This was confusing because Zuma Miami was able to accommodate my boyfriend’s nut allergies with no issues. However, we can’t really complain too much since we both really loved the dessert we ordered instead. I wish there was an option to give this place a 4.5/5 stars. I ended up giving this place 5 because 4 just seems too low of a rating for the food and ambience you are getting. Zuma New York is a great restaurant to celebrate a special occasion.
