Best WLM Reviews
Good spot to go to for ribs and bbq when you have that hankering, especially in these Michigan winters when you don’t want to be outside on your grill. We ordered take out, the short ribs could have used a bit more sauce, so we had to add a bit more ourselves from the pantry. Really cute decor inside, will certainly dine-in next time. Overall not bad!
The Meats / Additional: I ordered the Open Pit combo which included BBQ Ribs and 1/2 BBQ Chicken, fries, coleslaw and a dinner roll. I also ordered a piece of cornbread. My favorite was the the BBQ chicken, the meat was perfect and the sauce that they put on there was excellent! A must try. I also really enjoyed the cornbread, it's sweet and buttery. The ribs were also good but the chicken really took the cake. I would order the same exact thing next time. It was plenty for me, I was able to make 2-3 meals out of it, which is great for the price.
The Sauce: Since this is a BBQ place, they have what seems to be their house made BBQ sauce on the table for you. It was a little sweet but mostly tangy. It was good, just not my thing (I'm more of a sweet BBQ girl myself) I also got a taste of the buffalo sauce, I would give it a solid 7/10, not bad just nothing to write home about.
The Service: This is a small business, so there are not too many workers but everyone I interacted with was so nice and timely. Absolutely no complaints.
The dining room / Atmosphere: There is a plenty of seating inside, everything was clean and organized.
Overall: I would recommend to anyone in the area looking for good, decently priced BBQ. I will be returning!
This is an unassuming restaurant on the North end of a strip center located on the South West corner of Five Mile and Farmington in Livonia. I have been frequenting Zukin’s restaurants since the 1960’s. The chain was started by Walter Zukin and then carried on by brother Norman. The food taste’s the same ! Absolutely phenomenal. I highly recommend Zukin’s the best chicken and rib barbecue I have ever eaten at!????
OMG, I had dinner here with my wife and I'm furious. I'm furious that I have lived by this establishment for years and never eaten at it! Seriously!
The Mac n cheese is out of this world! We also had the ribs, which were "fall of the bone" amazing! Three days later I went back and had the beef brisket sandwich. You will not find a better one, period! Not one bite of gristle or fat. My wife is super picky when it comes to meat quality. She didn't have anything left on her plate either time.
You will not regret your choice to eat here!! ❤️❤️❤️
Super friendly local restaurant with exceptional ribs! The flavor is excellent and sauce not overpowering. The boss even brought over samples of the chicken kabobs (breaded city chicken) just to try - and it's just fantastic. Prices are really reasonable for what you get too.
I have been a huge fan of Zukins for many years. Their Oak Parker rocks! Chicken, ribs, Cole slaw and fries. Always good, even reheated, which is a good sign they are quality. Nice people there, too!
Tried this place for the first time this evening for carry out. I do hate to write negative reviews but we got the rib dinner for 2 and I've never had such awful ribs. They were tough, rubbery and mostly fat. The fries on the side were badly overcooked and terrible. The tiny coleslaw had no flavor. The meal was inedible and went in the garbage. I do not recommend and needless to say it was our first and last visit.
"Five stars all the way for this BBQ joint, even with a broken jukebox! We opted for takeout, and boy, were we blown away by the flavors bursting from every bite. The brisket was juicy, the ribs were succulent, and the sides were the perfect accompaniment. Despite not dining in, the staff ensured our order was ready promptly and even threw in some extra napkins and sauces. Every bite transported us to BBQ heaven, and we can't wait to come back for more, broken jukebox or not!"
