Absolutely love this place and will definitely be a date night spot from now on!! ❤️ Such a cool vibe and atmosphere, but more importantly, the staff was phenomenal! My husband and I were in awe of how friendly and welcoming each person was, not only to us as customers, but to each other as co-workers and clearly friends and a “work family”. ❤️ From Aliza and Liza the sweet hosts, Lynnae the badass bartender singing (pretty well too!) behind the bar, Brenden who brought out our insanely amazing food, and Brittany, our incredible server who was literally a ray of sunshine the minute she came to our table and we can’t wait to go back and see!! ???????? Manager Amber is clearly doing a great job creating an amazing culture and workplace that just so happens to serve killer food, great beer and have awesome live music too that we can’t wait to check out next time!! See you all again soon!!! ???? (If you weren’t an hour+ drive from us, you’d probably see us ever day!! ????)
Absolutely amazing time Brittany was fantastic! You have to see her for the Rum swizzle! Tony cooked up the food perfectly! Everything was stellar and can’t wait for our next trip out here because we cannot come to Michigan it’s without coming here! Make sure to get the Mac and cheese with Brisket, Baja tacos, and the Tripp Fermentations Marquette Mulled cider! Everything was amazing can yall come out to the southside we need you closer!
What a gem! I come up here every summer but this is my first time here. Such a nice atmosphere and vibe. Ordered three different brews and all were delicious. Also ordered the Italian sandwich and it was delicious as well. Will be sure to be back.
Zorn is a cool brewery that often times has live music. Wednesday open mic nights are one of my favorite to visit. They have pretty good pizzas and flat breads. I’m also a big fan of the chicken wings. We have tried a lot of items on the menu, but we tend to gravitate to those. I love the vibe at Zorn, and my favorite is enjoying the outside stage.
So I'll start by saying the food, when it's correct and cooked properly, is great. The drink selection, and especially the selection from Trip Brewing, is absolutely fantastic. Most of the Trip Ciders are among the best ciders I've ever had.
The outdoor area finished this year is fantastic, when they permit you to sit outside. We'd been told a few weeks ago that we could sit outside (at lunchtime on a weekend) but we'd have to go back in to order because there weren't enough servers :/
The reason I'm giving them 3 stars for now is that 3 of my last 4 orders have been wrong. Twice they put regular cheese on a vegan cheese pizza, which they charge more for, and which could kill somebody (not me thankfully) if not spotted. One of those times another pizza we ordered was burnt, and we ended up being there forever between a long initial wait, food being redone, and a wedding party bus blocking us in on the street where we parked.
Lastly today I ordered, and I believe was charged for, a 14" pizza and they handed me a 10". Server on the phone when I ordered even read back 14", so I'm guessing it's another kitchen mistake. I didn't complain this time, I just took it because last time it took them incredibly long to remake what was wrong and I didn't want to wait.
They do get points for really honoring "extra sauce" with a generous drizzle along with a side cup! Helped with the slightly overdone crust. Overall, the $26 (vs $20 per menu) small one toping vegan cheese pizza was tasty! Servers there are always super nice and attentive if not understaffed at times, and they are always truly apologetic when things are wrong. I haven't had this many issues in the past with Zorn, and maybe I was just lucky, but I hope it gets better so I can keep coming back!
This is a must stop brewery, built in 1877 it has that old world charm. They have a huge outdoor area, about a City block of room. The beer is above average, I tried a five beer flight and liked every beer. The service was very good. I plan to go back next time I'm in the area.
Although there are a few brewry choices in Michigan City, Zorn definitely stands out from the rest. Great atmosphere coupled with an excellent venue, service, top tier food, and a great, diverse selection of beers on tap ! I highly recommend the cheese steak flatbread ( the one pictured I ordered extra crispy ) ! There are plenty of alternative options on the menu to satisfy any diet. If you're in the area, I highly recommend stopping in here.
Wow! Nothing but great reviews for Zorn Brewery and staff. We went with Zorn for our daughters wedding rehearsal dinner and welcome event.We were planning this event for 114 people from out of state and from start to finish Amber was amazing, professional and went above and beyond for us. We were in great hands and the space is beautiful. We were more than impressed and highly recommend.
A special shout out to Roberto our chef who also went above and beyond to cater to our MANY food allergies. He was amazing and the food was incredible. Well done Zorn and thank you so very much. Our night was perfect.
