I've been here a couple of times - once when it was very busy, and the other when it wasn't - and both have been very good. The food is tasty, and there was a very short wait for it even on the busy day. The staff are lovely, and it's a very charming and well-decorated place.
We had a really nice time dining and celebrating my hubby's birthday. The Owners were so attentive, nice, hospitable, as well as their staff. ???????? I would recommend this as they serve sumptous, authentic japanese food. Restaurant has limited seats but what matters is, the cleanliness and hygiene.????????????????????????Upstanding. ♥️♥️
Amazing quality food! Great atmosphere and lovely owners! Our favourite local restaurant, well worth a visit. Large menu selection and freshly made. Good value too. We always recommend Zoo sushi ???? to all family friends and would recommend to absolutely everyone! You won't regret it!
We were fortunate to find this restaurant in the heart of the town on a cold and rainy day. Fab hot food at a reasonable price. Friendly staff made our day trip to Stratford warm and special. Will come back again definitely.
It is a tiny shop with Japanese vibes. The food tastes great and the wait is not long. Worth trying when you’re in the area.

A wonderful place in the corner of Stratford. The atmosphere is wonderful, and so is the food. Their sushi is amazing, selection of Japanese street food just as good, and their other food keeps up just as well.
For their street food, their chicken karaage and yakitori is amazing.
Sushi wise, you can't go wrong with the eel and the salmon.
Want something very common in Japan but you don't see often in the UK? Get their gyūdon (pictured), it's wonderful!
All of it comes with probably the most authentic tasting Japanese food I've had in the UK. And that's coming from someone who has gone to Japan multiple times and lived there for a year.

Overall a disappointment. Despite its many reviews, I'm sure there must be better sushi places in Stratford.
The food portions were small and the taste average. I had a jasmine tea and, of course, it came in a MUG with a tea bag. I have dried jasmine tea at home, how come a Japanese restaurant uses tea bags?
The place was as quiet as a library and the waitress acted like she once got told off for not doing her job so now she was overcompensating by saying empty "thank yous" constantly and watching us eat from across the room. It made us a bit uncomfortable and like she was just waiting for us to finish, pay and leave.
Could have been worse but also better.
