A nice gem in San Jose, great taco selection from traditional fish taco to creative scallop taco. Especially like the sauce and corn on a few tacos that gave the unique flavor. Drink selection is also plentiful.
I am always looking for good Mexican food and I have been pleased both times that I’ve been here, the bean dip and the cucumber water are great enough to want each time I come in the future! The enchiladas were also amazing! Definitely coming back!
First the positive: I loved their scallop tacos, their Mexican coffee and kind servers. Yummy corn dish too. :-)
Now the less than ideal: Their beef (chimichurri tacos) were awful. Their salsas were also very disappointing. I came home to throw up after eating there unfortunately.
It was definitely Overpriced for sure.
The table was outside so the pollen from the trees got the best of me triggering my allergies but that's not the restaurant's fault obviously.
Because if was windy , the tacos got cold right away. The water and coffee I was drinking was full of dust and pollen from the trees nearby.
Inside the restaurant their music was overly loud so it was best to go somewhere else for dessert. I probably won't be returning.

Sat at the Bar. Julian was an excellent host to everyone at the bar top. Great cocktails, presentation. Kind and funny.
Food was delicious and simple. Julian was easy to brag about how well everyone he works with prepares everything fresh and from scratch.
Will definitely come back next time I’m in San Jose.
It’s a good restaurant. But super loud inside from music and simply just people talking. Maybe it’s the acoustics. Carne asada y hongas dish was really good. Creamy and slightly spicy. Chips are the seriously crispy and harder type. Guac was pretty good but could use some zing, like paired with salsa. And the carnitas was very lean whereas I think the perfect type are a little fatty. But what bugged was the service. It took so long to take our order, get food, and pay the bill. Had to ask for help every step of the way.
Zona Rosa is our favorite restaurant in San Jose! The food is outstanding, the service is always excellent, and the drinks are delicious. Not only do we frequent this restaurant a few times per month, we held our wedding rehearsal dinner here. James, Jose, and the rest of the staff were phenomenal-they made our night unforgettable! They helped with any minor issues, communicated well along the way, and treated all of our guests very well. Managing a 40 person party is an impressive feat, and Zona Rosa blew us away yet again. We felt so loved and special, and everyone loved the food and drinks! And the cost was much less than other locations we looked into for a large party event. It doesn't get better than Zona Rosa!
This small-feel restaurant gives off big flavor and service. The Trio Salsa is delicious, the cocktail presentations are beautiful, and you can't beat the bartenders' attention.
We LOVE it.
Love this spot! I have been coming here on weekly basis for almost a year now and ordering the same meal, love the bartenders. But last Friday 9/20/24 the service from the manager /chef and of the lady servers was not cool. I was told I could not have the usual meal that i usually get because they didn’t want to accommodate me. Love the place but if you’re the manager or owner reading this, be mindful about providing services that are equal to every race and gender. Thank you.
