Best WLM Reviews
It was my first time there! Place has a lot of potential however they need a better friendlier customer service oriented bar tender if I’m not mistaken her name is Diana. Lacks a lot of friendliness and not be so hostile! The food though is amazing wonderful taste!
We had a wonderful experience! The staff was so friendly and accommodating to our group. The food was delicious!
I waited over a month to post my review to make sure I was going to be fair. Having looked at several other reviews, I can see the experience I had was par for the course, it seems.
I stopped in here craving some carribean food and vibes after a hard day (and after seeing this restaurant on google for the longest) The staff was visibly disappointed when we said we were there to eat and would like to be seated, so I'm guessing most of their money comes from the bar and/or hookah, not the restaurant portion of the business but again, its just a guess.
Everything here was a wait of at least ten minutes. We waited to be asked for drinks, waited for the drinks, when the waiter rushed off before asking if we were ready to order food, waited to to be asked what we would like to order and waited 30 minutes for food, which would have been no problem if they had been busy or understaffed but inside when I went to the restroom, I found the staff all sat down, eating and chilling, which is great for them, they're only human but really?
I was never asked if I wanted a refill for my water but we were asked if we wanted to BUY another drink. I had to go ask a different staff member for the check as my waiter disappeared. Some menu items are unavailable when asked for (cachapas)
My companion said the drinks were not very good. The griot and pikliz was ok, the meat was overcooked so tough and dry.
HOWEVER: I do have to say, on the upside is the very best plantain sandwich I've ever eaten was had here. It was amazing. Perfect combination and flavors and if I were to think of any saving grace for the experience, it would be this dish, 10 out of 10.
Place is supposed to be open until 11pm. My son and I showed up at 10:19 to grab dinner for my family. They locked the door and just stared at us. We wanted to do a to go order. Really piss poor service to do that. If you have it on your door and online that you are open until 11pm you should honor that. Instead your employees have made a selfish decision. I’ve been to this restaurant about 15 times over the last 2 years. I will never go again.
While the food was very delicious, I only gave service three ⭐ at no fault of the bartender because the prices had gone up substantially from what I saw online minutes before until I got there. And according to the bartender, they've only been open three months. So, I didn't order everything I planned to due to the higher prices. They had written over prices on the menu, workers were remodeling, music was super loud. Nice set up inside though. I'm sure it will be a really nice spot once all the changes are completed. Might want to tone down the volume when there's only three customers inside though. I went outside to wait for my food because of how loud the music was. The bartender also said they were under new management. I did wonder about that since only haven been open three months. I did like seeing the guys right out front enjoying themselves playing a game with the restaurant logo.
The food here is absolutely delicious! Every dish we tried was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. I Highly recommend this place and Thank to my waiter Arelis She was amazing and lovely
Had 3 carne asada tacos here and it was a different experience altogether.
Steaks came in long strips, onions came grilled and there was no cilantro.
I have no complaints regarding their interpretation of the dish. It’s just that the steaks were super tough and chewy for my taste.
I think the dish overall is lacking compared to other great tacos I’ve had.
I don’t know how exactly the food should taste like because i have only tried Caribbean food once or twice but it was insanely salty for me. And the flavor wasn’t there. Overall it was a disappointing dining experience for me.
