So this was my first time here and I am going to definitely give an honest and fair review, as I do all establishments. I went on Saturday November 16th for R&B night. Loved loved loved the dj. I also loved the atmosphere too. Overall the establishment seemed clean. I didn't use the bathroom when I was there so I don't know about that. I like the fact that you can get a table and you don't have to pay for it. You just have to purchase food and drinks which we did. Our server was new so she was super slow. However, very friendly and trying her best. We went to the bar for a lot of our drinks. There was a young lady there who said she was a new bartender and I loved her. She had the best attitude, very attentive and made drinks fast! 10/10!
I ordered lamb chops, green beans and mashed potatoes. Food took awhile to come out, 45 min-an hr, which the server warned me about so I wasn't pressed. Food was lukewarm and lamb chops were small. No biggie. I still ate it. Seasoning was good.
My major and only real irritation was how they swiped my card twice for something I told them went through. I was angry about that. So my bank noticed I was swiping a lot at one location and asked me for approval for one of the transactions. I showed the server that I was approving the transaction, and yet she said it was still showing declined on her end (which she showed me). I politely told her if she swiped my card again more money was going to come out. She grabbed another woman to assist and the woman told me it shows pending in my bank but declined on their end so if I want my stuff I have to swipe again ($58). I was livid, but wanted my drinks so I just swiped my card again and was essentially charged double and will have to call my bank.
Not sure if they accept cash but if you could bring cash that would be better. I don't like my card being swiped continuously. What if I didn't have the money? Also, 16% gratuity added to anything you purchase. Be mindful of that. Whether service is good or bad. Other than that, it was a good night.
The only reason I gave one because the Caesar salad with blackened salmon was decent. Otherwise this would have been negative 1. This place is absolutely terrible. It took a hour and half for two salads. 45 minutes for drinks. Not to mention my friend had reservations a month ahead of time. They had a event same night and time. She texted ahead of time day of after learning of the event online. Was assured the reservation was good. It wasn’t. No seating was available for the entire party and some people left. Even after the event ended at 8, service was non existent and it was almost empty in there. One couple in the group never received their food because someone canceled the order. The people who did order, food came out one at a time with 20-30 gaps in between. So we didn’t get to eat together. For the price point and automatic gratuity of 16% you would expect good service, not even close. Save your money and stay away. Not to mention we listened to enough Sexy Redd songs to go on tour as s cover band. Oh we paid $68 for two Caesar salads, one with salmon, one with steak, a angry orchard and a coke.
The atmosphere was great though I feel like I was taken advantage of because I was drunk, let me explain. I ordered the Tuscan Pasta for like $20 a henny and coke and then someone bought me a drink. My bill was $72 (for 1 food item and a henny and coke, yeah no) but I didn't think nothing of it until I was tagged in a post a few days later about them overcharging. That's when remembered what I had gotten and it shouldn't have cost that much, and they didn't give a receipt ....which I always get... but again I was drunk that night.
We went in on a Sunday, the spot was extremely chill, the drinks were good(I’d definitely recommend an extra shot though, the juice to liquor ratio is a little high)…On that note though the food was amazing and the portions are big, one order can feed 2 not super hungry ppl and leave room for drinks. The hookah was smooth and lasted about an hour
Don’t do it.. it’s not worth the headache.
Unless you’re picking up food during the WEEK when nobody is there I wouldn’t recommend this place.
I’ve been here twice in the past and the service is bad and hookah is terrible. Waitresses are gone 30 minutes at a time, the hookah girl isn’t trained, and security at the front will tell you $20 before you walk in the club (even though the club is free, they’re scamming. Even if you do charge why is security asking for money and not the door girl?? SCAM). The club is just a bad experience all around. I personally don’t come here.
Moving on….
We got two sections last weekend. I personally didn’t want to go because I know the service is terrible here but it wasn’t my bday so I kept an open mind. But of course, I was right lmao. Showed up about 11pm, the waitress didn’t come to the table until about 11:30pm. We ordered two bottles that didn’t come until another 30 minutes so now it’s 12. She poured our shots and disappeared and didn’t return until 12:30ish asking us if we wanted more shots from the bottle. I’m not saying check on us every two minutes. But you know we can’t “touch” the bottle. So we’re just waiting. 12:40 we ordered a hookah and at 1:30 we decided to cancel it because it still wasn’t out yet. Keep in mind during that 12:40-1:30 I’m asking every worker that walks by, “where is our server”. No where to be seen. We just ended up leaving.
Summary: Take out only. There’s better places to go out to.
The service was not bad but it wasn’t good either. The bar wasn’t super packed but it took forever to get our drinks and food. A tab for 2 people: a couple of cocktails ($14/ea), loaded fries ($10 + automatic %16 gratuity for food) and a couple shots of Don Julio, we each paid $54. Which in my opinion was excessive, and no itemized receipt was provided. I’m not from Charlotte so it’s whatever now but definitely not a place i would recommend.
I would give them 0 stars if i could. We got overcharged for half off pasta and they didn't even provide a receipt. They promote half off on all pasta but then renege and say they still have to charge for the toppings. We also sat down for mad long and they just kept looking at us like we wasn't supposed to be there. This was my first time here and I can say that i'll never be back.
Food was decent, service was lacking(like many other reviews i see). The place looks nice inside. I came strictly for hookah. $50 is outrageous for that beginner baby hookah with the bendy straw hose. Def gives hiC juice box vibes. I'd come back to eat tho, the prices were fair compared to the quality of food i received. Drinks, eh....a little on the eyebrow raising end. Ijs, if you're gonna enforce a 15% automatic gratuity, have your ducks in a row. Cuz right now, they're everywhere. Across the street, neighbors yard, in traffic, just everywhere .
