Best WLM Reviews

Some of the rooms are outdated and are in desperate need of remodeling. The room we had, 220, had a serious mold issue in the bathroom, likely due to the fan not working. There was mold behind all of the peeling wallpaper and down by the base of toilet, as well as around the shower rod. We were given a different room (114) which was better and had been remodeled a bit, but still had a bit of mold in the shower (not enough to cause a fuss about though). The bathrooms are pretty small with not much room to get changed and if you're plus sized, going to the bathroom may be a challenge. The beds were very hard though there weren't a million layers of blankets to fight with like at other hotels. Just a sheet and a soft comforter which was kind of nice. The balconies give a nice view of the creek below, the sound of which I found to be quite soothing. The indoor pool could use some TLC, especially the hot tub. The gym and breakfast area were under renovation so I hope those will be nice when complete. The location is excellent, right in downtown Gatlinburg within walking distance of most things.
First of all our room was totally detached from the main hotel. It was located up a hill off a main highway behind a dilapidated windmill. After finding our room it was very old and in need of some upgrades but would suffice for what we needed. We left the room to get some dinner upon return the room key would not open the door. We made our way back down to the main hotel and the night clerk stated he would make a new key. But if it don’t work to call and he would come to the room. We returned to the room only to find that the new key would not unlock our door. So I attempted to call and after 20 minutes he answered the phone only to put me on hold for 10 minutes. I explained the new key would not open the door, very frustrated he said he would be up shortly. After about 30 minutes he arrived and said he didn’t have the correct tools he would be back. We played this game 3 more times. After an hour and a half he was finally able to change the batteries and we could once again get in our room and finally have our cold dinner. The manager was gracious enough to give us a discount for our room and inconvenience which was pleasing enough for us.
Overall the stay was not terrible but the historic family owned inn needs some upgrades. Would consider staying again after upgrades were made.
The inoor pool area ice cold, pool ice cold water, the hot tub out of order ,exercise area closed. The state there is coffee and snacks available at front desk, however at 8am still no snacks for early risers wanting something to get them started. When you book this on the phone directly with front desk they should advise you of the issues that they are experiencing. Checked in they gave us our keys and room info, went to room open door and there was someone's luggage and stuff in there, they gave us a room where it was already occupied. ||We booked this motel for indoor pool for my medical needs and for convention location.
I love this place !! It is our place now forever. My best friend loves it and was her last place to stay before she passed,so my husband and I went and we loved it. It's rustic and nostalgic and everyone was so kind and friendly. No it's not fancy but it's quiet and affordable and quiet and friendly and you will see bears!! It is now my happy place. If you want fancy then go somewhere else but if you want memories and a place like home this so it !! Can't wait to come back !!
Our stay was decent enough. It was a place to sleep. We didn’t experience a weird smell of mold, like others have mentioned. But, the place could have been cleaner, beds are rock hard, pillow were flat as cardboard, and sheet were rough in texture. Not once did someone come to clean the room (change sheets, take out trash, restock toiletries). We were there for 4 days…
Also. There is a roller coast directly next to the inn. Like, within 30 feet. Not sure I would pay more than the 111$ for the double bed rooms. That even seems to be a bit much for the quality… basically paying for a so-so stay in a prime location…
We stayed at Zoder’s for three nights for a fall break trip in a double bed room.
Pros: beautiful creek, great location, adequate parking, towel service was prompt everyday, nice snack area, recently renovated rooms, good WiFi.
Cons: we moved our beds together and it was apparent that they DO NOT clean under the beds. There were crumbs, something sticky and trash from a previous guest. There was about an inch of dust on the vent in the bathroom. The bathtub didn’t look like it wasn’t deep cleaned and the drain probably needed to be unclogged. These things make me a little weary of how clean it really is ????. The tv also had limited channels and most were too fuzzy too work or didn’t have sound.
Is a decent place to stay. Service is really great the room a little small but nice has ramps instead of stears handicap accessible. Was going to get in hot tub was broken not heated the pool felt better. Balcony overlooking the creek was nice but need to cut some of the tree limbs back so can see it better. Hopefully any of you stay here some of the stuff will be fixed.
My mother have stayed at Zoder's Inn each time we have come to Gatlinburg. It is a wonderful location and the rooms are pretty good for two people. The office staff and housekeeping are quite nice. After walking downtown all day we looked forward to the hot tub only to find it broken. The place is a little dirty on the outside and just needs some extra attention to details but all in all we love this place! If you want fancy, maybe this isn't the one for you but if you just need a place to rest before you get going again...this is the place for you. Giving 4 stars because the amenities are either broken or what looks like under construction.
