First time at Zocados! Food was average. Ordered the Parrilla Mix which came with rice and beans. Service was good, we just had to wait a bit for a water refill. Atmosphere was okay. My favorite part was the table side guac
Good variety of Mexican and Tex-Mex dishes. Got the parrilla mixta with a little bit of everything, decent food quality. Guacamole made at the table to add a bit of uniqueness. Waiter could’ve been more attentive. Overall average service and food quality.
I visited Zocados yesterday for the first time. My favorite part was table side guacamole ????. Drinks (margaritas) are so-so, they are ok (for my taste). I think it’s a good place for family lunch or dinner. Also fajitas are delicious, both beef and chicken. Service is very good, friendly staff.
The menu offers a lot of choice from being a vegetarian to being a meaty eater, loving cheese! Their queso Blanco is phenomenally delicious and so is the guacamole! I photographed the menu so that you could see it on your big computer, this is all done on the spot and when it was fresh and you don’t see much queso Blanco is because we ate it very quickly! so you see the dishes that we have through the pictures below, most of it self-explanatory, but you have to taste it, it is out of this world good!
Unfortunately this was the worst Tex-Mex food Ive ever ate in DFW. Never returning. Firstly, I called twice to place the order but no one answered. So I walked into restaurant & no one came to greet. There was 1 table seated in the ENTIRE restaurant & it looked like 1 server. This was Tuesday afternoon. Marco was kind & took my order. The food came out within 5minutes. Tells me most of it was already cooked and sitting there. ????
The restaurant was also dirty. Bar area was not swept.
Food was the worst thing about this restaurant. We ordered the appetizers Zocados Roll chicken & chicken faijtas nachos & entree La Chimichanga with chicken. Every single item was bland & boring. The look alone will turn you off. The chicken isnt flavorful or spicy at all. The guac was flavorless. The queso also tasted flavorless like I drank water. I dont even understand what the Zocados roll was imitating. I was thinking similar to sushi roll but it tasted like a bland wrap. Wasnt able to eat any of our food to completion, it belonged in the trash. Very disappointed. We called asking for a manager just to make them aware that this was bad food. But of course no manager was present & we were told the manager would be in later this evening. Its already 6pm and they close at 9. It makes sense tho. This establishment has potential but theres no effort put in and customers can taste that. Listen to the recent reviewers and avoid this place.
Its also super expensive for such awful food. The chimi was $16.99. Apps were around $15. Portions were also not as much for the price youre paying.
Server would not come and refill our drinks and hot sauce. We have to ask her mutilate times. Talk with Manager and he did not seem interested to resolve the problem. We will not come back to this restaurant. Food was great but when we have to serve ourselves then that make us not wanna come back.
We love the fresh guacamole made right by our table. I usually have chicken enchiladas which are the best of many Mexican restaurants in North Texas. The last time I had Zocado’s tacos, which were too crispy for me. My husband loves the chicken tortilla soup. It has large pieces of chicken breast in every bowl with fresh avocado slices in the broth. The last time on a Sunday at noon, our group had 7 and the group behind is had about 20 with tables side by side. The servers did an amazing job of keeping all our drinks filled.
I just thought this was another tex mex joint in the neighborhood but I was actually impressed with this place. Refried beans were on point and so were the enchiladas. Going to have to come back and try other dishes from here. Recommend the dinner enchiladas.
