Best WLM Reviews

We tried Zippy's twice. Both times, it took over 40 min for us to get our food. The first time, the food was really good! The second time, it wasn't as great. The meat in the deluxe burger tasted off. The chili is better with rice. Note - there is a fast food side and a dine in side.
Note that there is a sit-down restaurant side and a fast food/bakery side. We ate at the sit-down side. We really enjoyed the food. We had many other recommended dishes at restaurants that were supposed to be great but many of them were frankly worse than Zippy’s. The fried chicken and the chili cheese fries are great. The baked goods were a bit too sweet for us. The zip pac was good.
i understand the role of localized fast food… cheap hearty meals. But what i ordered below with a small beverage was $20 bucks. now, for that $ there are plenty other hawaii-style plate lunches that are independently owned small biz. food here taste like frozen food heated up. the famous chili??? taste like fresh out of a can. so there you have it, my honest take on this ‘local institution’ people deserve better, should expect more, and re examine why da heck you would spend your hard earned $$$
Food here was pretty good! The Pork Eggplant was a little light in flavor, but we're okay with that. Sweet Sour Spareribs were good and homely. Mac Salad was saltier than expected. The Teri Beef, however, stole the show. It was the best in flavor. We also got Corn Chowder, which was pretty good.
Service was not the best. Our server brought our food, saw our glasses were low, said she'll come back and fill them up, but went missing for the rest of the meal. We asked for the check, and were presented with two checks. Turns out the waiter had entered the wrong items initially, opened another order with the right items. We had to double check to make sure we weren't charged twice.
That aside, this is good, homely food. Would recommend for the Teri Beef alone.
I just don’t understand why people are crazy about Zippy’s. The food here is nothing to rave about.
Today we went here “defiantly not my choice.”
Ordered a bunch. Large Won ton noodles($13.35), Mini Korean fried chicken plate($13), Zippy’s omelet($14.35). One of our guest was hungry and added, chili cheese fires($9.55), side toast($3.50), corn soup($6.90), a side of bacon($7.50), Coffee($2.95), and Liliko drink($4.10). Each of our entree was $13-$14, and $35 of sides. Whatever…. But how did all taste? Not worth the $80 plus tip we paid for lunch.
The first pice of fried chicken I ate was cold, I would have sent it back to the kitchen, but the second one was not cold, not hot. It wasn’t anything exiting worth having them make me a hot one. I tasted everything else.. nothing exciting. Just protein and carbs to fill up your stomic.
It didn’t seem like they had enough people working there for the amount of customers there. The atmosphere is really boring.
I’m sorry Zippy’s, it’s not for me.
Great local eatery! Try the Korean Fried Chicken! Service was excellent and food was flavorful and cooked to perfection! Mac salad was delicious as well!
Chicken katsu was delicious, first time I've really enjoyed mac salad. The lilikoi punch is yummy and the malazadas were really good.
All the waters that works on Saturday and Sunday are amazing. They work hard and greats us with a smile. My mother love going there because they always treat her with the best respect and the host knows my mother has a hard time walking and will seat us as close to the door. The food is always on point, and my sisters and I always say there are no good local food like before and coming to Zippys is the only place that has that nostalgic taste and feel.
