Best WLM Reviews
We recently visited Zipps, and unfortunately, our experience was a mixed bag. The wings were the only highlight, as they were flavorful and well-cooked. However, the wraps we ordered were disappointing—dry and lacking flavor. The bar itself felt lifeless, missing the vibrant atmosphere you’d expect.
On a positive note, the bartender was friendly and cool, but his food recommendations didn’t quite hit the mark. Overall, despite enjoying the wings, the rest of our visit fell short of expectations.
We had a luncheon, consisting of Aunt's and Cousin's. All of us girls. We came at 1:30 pm on a Wednesday. We were the only ones in there, besides 3 people sitting at the bar. It took 45 minutes to get our food, and the only meal ordered that did not need cooking and wasn't a salad was the Fish and Chips. (Onion Rings substituted).
We saw the wait staff hanging out chatting with someone we assumed was the chef as he was on the kitchen side.
For a time of day in which the place was dead, for us to get 4 salads, 1 Tuna sandwich with salad and 1 fish and chips/substitute onion rings 45 minutes later was ridiculous!! A few of us had wine and one of my Aunt's a Screwdriver.
We thought the time we went would be perfect and after the lunch rush. And by the looks of it, it was. But being there an hour and 45 minutes because the food took so long didn't make sense to us since we were literally the only table. Sorry for this long post. But, if you are planning on going here.... Even if you go off of the busy time, plan on spending a bit of time to get food. The girls and I all were thinking that we can't imagine what it's like when they are busy!!;
Came in to watch the Chicago Bears game, before we headed to the airport. Found other Bears fans, was a great atmosphere on top of that the Da Bears Won! Food was ok we had wings and chicken on a stick. Service was good. We will definitely return on our next visit.
Great service, good food, big portions for sharing and excellent Happy Hour prices. No complaints!
I wish I could give this place a 2.5 stars. This is the second location we've been to and once again we're not impressed whatsoever. The fries are very gross and have no flavor. We don't expect much, but we've been to quite a few sports bars with great food and great options. The food would definitely be only 2 stars as my veggie burger wasn't bad and my boyfriend said his wings were pretty good. The customer service we received at this location from our server was 4 stars and she was very personable, was just a bit slow on drink refills and messed up our order but was quick to I have the kitchen make the correct orders on the fly. The kids pizza slice had some cheese thrown on top, not even melted, but my 5 year old didn't complain. There are quite a few TVs all around with different sports games as expected. The bathrooms seem to be at least mostly tidy. I did see a pool table and bar seating available. We probably will not be going back as the food was not that great.
Surprisingly excellent food and outstanding service! Went on a Sunday at 11am to watch a game, drink some brew and have some grub. Fun place and we'll definitely go back. Fun football fans and the right amount of rowdy.
I lived in AZ back in '08 and would go to the Zipps on Ray and McClintock at least 3 times a week. I was driving through town from CA to TX and just had to stop for some wings and a burger. This pit stop did not disappoint. The wings were AMAZING as always and the sweet jalapeño burger was great. It brought back great memories of my time living in AZ. I was happy to be able to share this experience with my father and son. The service from Daniel was absolutely wonderful. Greatly recommend this amazing establishment.
My waitress was amazing My Tacos were horrible ,They were dry tasteless and the shells were hard and old. The meat looked like someone gave me the last bit of scraps I immediately sent those back. The chicken quesadilla’s tasted like the cheese was cheap government cheese. My glass of ice water with lemon tasted like an old wash rag. My daughter chicken wings was great and my daughter fish and chips were great.
