Hayden at the bar was a fantastic representative of zipps.
The suggestions he made were spot on.
So, I came here to work from laptop, have a few drinks, finger food and leave. Ordered a couple drinks while working and then I decide (shame on me) that I’d like fries. I like to dip my fries in spicy sauce. So between extra spicy buffalo and their regular buffalo, I don’t which one I want. I ask my waitress, who is training someone, for a sample. “No we don’t do samples.” I ask a manager. “No we don’t do samples.” How am I supposed to know if I want extra hot or hot? “yeah, I know. We don’t do samples.” I hate living in a college town lmao. Mind you, a side sauce costs .65 - which they loved reminding me. I will surely take my $140k+ salary somewhere else. Even when I was an entry level manager, it didn’t take a scientist or a district managers guidance to figure out how to help a customer ????????♀️ headed to Loco Patron. A block from here, amazing happy hour that starts at 2 and better quality staff.
Super cool place. Great price for beer. They had slices of pizza, but they were so rock-hard. It was like eating cheese on the crunchiest pita chips I've ever eaten. My mouth was torn up after a couple bites. Can't recommend the pizza, but absolutely recommend the drinks!
Was looking to get something to eat after 10pm and saw they had a menu with what looked like lots of options so we went in. I opted for Philly cheese on focaccia bread with onion rings and hubby selected fish and chips (aka fries). Server messed up the ONE drink we ordered - gave us the wrong one. By the time we received the correct one, the food arrived. There was an appetizer for Philly cheese on a spring roll wrap (2 of them) and by looking at the photo, you can see my order is NOT on focaccia bread, so clearly the server gave me the wraps. It being late and the drink order was already messed up, I just peeled off most of the spring roll wrap and ate the Philly meat and cheese. That part was really good. The onions rings were not good; hubby said his fish and fries were OK but he wouldn't go out of his way to go there again and order it. Final bullet for the low rating was the bill. We were charged for two drinks when we only ordered one. When asking about it, we were told it was because we ordered a double. I had a two ingredient liquor drink and never asked for a double. Server apologized for the "miscommunication" and took it off the bill. I get that people come in at that late hour mostly tipsy or even hammered. But to serve the food that was given, wrong drinks and double billing is no way to treat your customers, even if they are too intoxicated to notice. Luckily, we were not, and we did. We won't be back.
Love this spot! It's great for watching games and getting together with family or friends. Their wings are so SO good and definitely the favorite. It can get a little loud and busy since it's a popular sports bar, but the wait hasn't ever been more than a few minutes. Definitely try this place out!
Its always great coming here for the food and games. Come on down for a great time.
I came in and sat at the bar. I was waiting for 5 mins and no one greeted me. The bar tender was talking to one of the guests at the bar and she was not aware of their surroundings.
I ended up going to the main restaurant, just a couple of steps from the bar. I went up to the host stand and waited. A man came out of the back of the house with menus. We made eye contact and he proceeded to continue to his way to the bar to drop off the menus. He didn’t even made me a signal that he would be here in a minute. He came back and asked me what else could do for me. I asked for a table of 1. The restaurant was 25% filled if that. I got a table next to a brick column.
The server came, I asked for water because I didn’t know what I wanted to eat. He came back and I got a black and blue burger with a salad.
The salad was actually fresh, the lettuce was crunch. The burger was just ok. They don’t ask how I wanted it cooked so I am guessing the patties are frozen. Those can only be cooked med well to well done.
Neither the food, nor the service was impressive, just mediocre to bad. The servers are more concern with socializing with each other than actually serving.
They do serve Coke products so I got a soda that came in a huge cup.
We had a really bad experience with the Manager Adam. He was completely rude to our friend and us. The food and servers were amazing. We have been coming to this location for many many years. I am severely disappointed with this experience. If the owner wishes to contact me I welcome the opportunity to share our experience with them. The rest of the staff and kitchen’s performance at the extremely busy ASU playoff game was outstanding.
