So we went to lunch to get our favorite bacon burger combo. Usually I get a tub of fries or tots with lots of tartar sauce..but this time I got half the bacon burger I usually get, hard bacon well well done must be, about a cup of fries which was supposed to be a large and a raspberry tea that was definitely watered down with plain lemonade.
The tartar sauce has too much mustard and didn't taste the same.
It's too bad too because this restaurant is one of my favorites. Zips is my childhood❣️The service was awesome. Got our meal in less than 15 min which was nice. Please bring back the better food.. don't your customers deserve that? We all love you, just bring back the real deal.
This zips has been sad for years but today I was extra annoyed. Ordered “cod and fries” expecting actual cod and got twice fried van de kamp or Gordon’s fish filets for 15.00. This is not cod it’s a fish adjacent product. So disappointed I expected better as other zips don’t sell fish like this they have actual cod. I want my money back honestly. I ended up throwing half of it away. Tastes like garbage and burnt oil and greasy double fried disgustingness.
Recently went to zips on south hill up on regal street loved it growing up but I ordered a Belly buster burger and fries ,there fries are great too and I love there fried mushrooms! Honestly my burger was so small the Pattie’s are dime size with the bun to match couldn’t believe it would be wonderful to bring back the awesome burger from last time I went through the drive in I think it will bring back the customer experience to match that we had growing up ! Would be nice to see the lobby open as well dont know that it will happen .Good Luck !
While there was no issues with the service. My daughter picked up hamburgers for the family. I was the only one who ate the tartar sauce. I did not even finish my meal before I was violently sick. Was sick all night and I am still on nausea medicine since Wednesday. I called to inform them that their batch of tartar sauce was bad. Save the next person from getting sick. In fact tried 4 times to reach someone. No one ever answered or was I able to leave a message. Due to this we won’t be return customers. Location was on the south hill.

What in the hell has happened to Zips Drive In! The food quality is not only poor, but double frying chicken and fish is against health code guidelines!
We ordered two chicken baskets, dry, cold burnt batter, and tasteless. The owner Paul Packer should be ashamed! What a disgrace to Zips legacy in Spokane! $39 for two inedible meals...no way! Disgusting and a reputation killer....happened at Zips 15808 E Sprague Ave.
This Zips is the best in town hands down. And Ryno is the best!! Love this atmosphere and the food never disappoints.
All the food seems to be portioned for kids meals, the prices are decent but only because you're getting a small amount of food
Food is great and so is service… when they’re open. I can’t remember the last time the dining room was open- maybe pre Covid but if it’s open , it’s a win!
