Best WLM Reviews

I had the worst experience there. I have been eating Zips since the 80s. When I ordered my food, she asked me what size fries I wanted again. Which I repeated that I wanted a tub of criss cuts. When I finished ordering, she read it back to me as a tub of fries, and I corrected her and said a tub of criss cuts. She said that's what she had. When I went to pay, she repeated the order with our 2 sandwiches and a tub of fries. I did not correct her again. When we got our order, it was a tub of fries. I gave it back and said I ordered a tub of criss cuts. A guy then came to the window and said there would be difference in price. I said I would not pay the difference because I told her twice. Then complained that our sandwiches were going to get cold now. He made some criss cuts while we waited. We got home, and they over seasoned the criss cuts. The worst ones I have ever tasted!. We could not eat them. They were sooo salty. I opened my sandwich up and there was a hair in the mayo. I was thoroughly disgusted and could not eat the sandwich. I called the store. No one answered, and it went to voice-mail. The mailbox was full. I called back several times, and still no one answered. I will never go to this Zips again. Worst food ever!
Pros: Tasty, friendly service, clean landscape
Cons: Disgusting food handling practices.
I personally DON’T eat at Zips (due to their food handling skills) but my husband LOVES them. When I go through the drive thru, I always pull up a little past the window to take a peek at the cook preparing the food. It’s always the same thing: a person with long flowing hair AND bare hands touching EVERYTHING. It’s really disgusting to witness. I’d hope for any cooks to practice safe food handling skills when preparing someone’s food. But NOPE, not Zips. Hence the review: I bought Zips last night and my husband found a hair in the burger popping out. After realizing this and once a bite was already taken, he tried to tough it out and just pull out the hair; but NOPE. It was stuck somewhere within the layers of meat, cheese and toppings. So hopefully, like me, my husband won’t be eating there again. I would really hope Zips would clean up their act and start using gloves AND a hair net like you see other companies use. But I find that very unlikely.
Swung by to get a late night ice cream cone with some friends. The price seemed a little high but we thought it would be worth it for the soft serve ice cream. What we got was more than disappointing. The amount of ice cream that we got was less than 2 inches above the cone and we paid 3$ per cone. Next time we will skip zips and go buy ice cream at the store.
We ordered our meal, I got a Papa Joe and fries with fry sauce. The burger was fine, but the fries tasted like grease and were cold, also the fry sauce cups were only filled half, to a little less than half full. When I asked for extra because of that they said they would have to charge me. I took a pic of the sauce cup, I had not used it at this point, I had only took the lid off. For how expensive it was I was very disappointed.
Drive thru was extremely slow. Spent almost 20 minutes for fries. Fries were hot and fresh so that's about the only positive of experience.
I was in town visiting a friend and she suggested we go to Zip's. She had a plain double cheeseburger and I had the shrimp & fry basket. What a waste of $12. Overcooked shrimp that I believe were fried twice to warm them up. They were super greasy and bitter tasting. You could tell the fries had been sitting around for a while, they were chewy and tough. Super disappointed. I won't be back. My friend's burger was pretty good, thankfully she was willing to share.
Got one of my favorites the other day from PF here as it is one of the only fast food places that have gluten free buns as an option. Got home, took a bite, only to find my burger patties BRIGHT pink on the inside... to say the least I was a bit disgusted at the fact they were undercooked. Disappointed I went through fast food to get fast food and still had to come home to cook it. At least I got my gluten free bun. Please make sure your staff is cooking everything all the way through this can make people really sick especially if it was poultry. :(
Pretty great regional fast food joint! Really friendly staff the night we visited.
