Prowled the website the night before to snag a room (mid October) An incredible stay in the park - the ability to drive in and park your car at the lodge, excellent dining options, beautiful location and ambiance. Clean and spacious rooms, exceptional staff from the reception, waiters (Noah!), cleaning/maintenance folks. All friendly and professional, even when we accidentally locked the door to our bathroom from the outside! 100% would recommend.
Terrific to get to stay in the park. I prowled the website and got a cabin a month ago when one opened up. Comfortable, simple space. Only one complaint: the floors were dirty and sticky. Spray and wipe method of cleaning does NOT clean. Dinner at the lodge was delicious. Wish we had thought to make a reservation before arriving, but worth the wait. Lovely server (Peggy?). Breakfast this morning was fast and delicious thank you Morgan. Tip: drive down a few turnoffs from the lodge after dark and enjoy a view of the Milky Way! Glad we came!
Beautiful Lodge in Zion National Park. We only stayed one night, but it's convenient if you're planning to spend the day in the park. The only thing is make sure you check in before dark!! My cell GPS lost signal and we accidentally ended up on the Zion -Mt Carmel byway for a bit. Thankfully we had a car GPS and were able to find our way. We had breakfast here in the morning and it was good. No elevators so it was a little tough hauling heavy luggage up the steps to our room on the 2nd floor.( we traveled to all 5 national parks)
Location is excellent - which is what you’re paying for. However, walls are very thin and I was woken up at 5:30am by my upstairs neighbours getting up. Then walking around, having a shower - etc etc
Food isn’t great at the red rock grill… I ate twice (at different meals) and both times my food was cold.
It’s fine - it’s clean.
Very annoying that they dont hold luggage. Bed was comfortable.
Check in staff weren’t the friendliest; but staff in the restaurant and gift shop were excellent.
This is a great place to stay. I would recommend. It is in the park and so much more convenient to the hiking trails. More animals come out when the masses of day trippers are not there. Since you are out in nature that comes very limited internet service and exceptionally limited ability to make a telephone call. If you are a family looking to get kids off there phones, choosing a lodge that limits the Internet can help.
Checking in to the Zion Lodge was a breeze, and the front desk staff were very nice. We had a room in the Watchman building, and had a beautiful view off our spacious balcony. The room had two queen beds and we had a rollaway bed for our fifth guest, and there was plenty of space for everyone. The room was beautifully decorated, the bathroom and shower were great, and the products were wonderful (loved the smell). We had dinner in the restaurant at the Lodge and the food was wonderful. Beautiful main lobby for relaxing, rocking chairs outside to sit in the evening and watch the turkeys and the mule deer in the front yard. The gift shop was wonderful - lots of stuff, could have used a few more food items/sundries, but the goodies and the hiking equipment were top notch. We loved staying here during our time in Zion and would stay here again!
What a stunning place. It's simply beautiful to walk around. The buses are really well run so it's really easy to get around and you're never far from a water fountain or toilet.
Excellent location for hiking Zion. Lovely spacious room. Currently renovating reception so there is a temporary breakfast and reception area. We found the continental breakfast basic yet very efficient for having a quick bite to eat before heading to Zion NP. Reception staff very friendly and quickly corrected our incorrect parking charge. Pool area is lovely and they have a laundry. My only complaint is Housekeeping. They never replaced our coffee pods so I had to go to reception every day. Bed covers were just pulled up they didn’t even move the pillows from how we had slept on them. Replacement bathroom line was never the same and literally thrown in bathroom each day. They really need to address this.
