Best WLM Reviews
Booked this lodge because we had to rebook from another place without much expectation. Turned out to be a blessing in disguise as this place was way better as we were originally planning to stay at. The place is staffed with nice and friendly staff with excellent service. Whenever we had a request, they were extra helpful to help us with everything. Went above and beyond my expectations for service at this hotel/lodge. Most places around this price point have a "breakfast included" which is almost inedible but I felt like I had a proper breakfast available in an easy to go boxes. The location was literally like 2 miles from the park entrance with amazing views! 10/10 would stay again!!
We had a two night stay as the last stop in our western visit to the national parks. The location is great but they advertise a continental breakfast. That consisted of a bagged breakfast of bagel/cream cheese, no elevator to the second floor which was a pain to get luggage up and down. The room was okay, I would call it clean except for the used towel in the closet...also no tissues which was odd. I believe the property was at one point beautiful but is slowly going downhill.
Everything is great, it is a very well built hotel! One thing. I am an architect. There is a rule. If you want your room to be cozy use lightbulbs 2700K, it is a warm light. Everything above 4200K and higher is for commercial or medical purposes. So guys, change your lightbulbs, and you'll see the change! Peace and love!
Infested with cockroaches!!!! Cockroaches, cockroaches, cockroaches!!!
For a June stay, upon arrival, we discovered the room was infested with cockroaches. There were visible
openings in the walls and a large gap under the door, allowing easy access for these pests.
We had to find alternate accommodations. We canceled on Booking.com, but then the hotel charged us the full amount. We contested with Booking.com, but they supported the infested hotel. We're still disputing the charge with our Chase credit card!
The staff was very nice. The shower had little to no water pressure. The air conditioner was loud and had some erratic disruptive noises. We got very little sleep. There is coffee in the lobby but it doesn’t open until 7:30! Bang not worth the buck!
Clean room. Needs a bigger coffee maker. Close to restaurants and park shuttle buses. Furnishings are old but serviceable. Premium tv channels.
Had the best experience from check-in to check out. Such friendly and welcoming staff. They are a dog friendly lodge. Housekeeping would check on us daily to see if we needed anything. We stayed in the family suite on the first floor, which was very convenient for us as we also had our 2 pups with us. Everything you need from the shuttle stop, a supermarket, and souvenir shops to restaurants are all within walking distance. You also have a complete 360-degree view of the magnificent mountains. My family and i will be back again.
The first thing to know is that contrary to the website, this is NOT a "brand new" hotel nor do they "serve a free continental breakfast daily." I am going to chalk this up to a lack of updating the website which looks to have been created in 2019. We went to the breakfast area which was bare and still had a "Merry Christmas" sign hanging up, only to learn it was a bagged grab-n-go breakfast (something that was not mentioned at check-in when we were told the hours of breakfast). Daughter is gluten-free so no option of any substance in the bag for her. We also had issues with both the desk lamp and vanity mirror light not working, our keys were disabled after our first night and had to have them reprogrammed after a long day at Zion. We specifically told the housekeeping person no need to enter our room and yet they did anyway (we really didn't need service and preferred the privacy - no "Do not disturb" sign available to hang out). All of this was brought to the attention of the front desk at various times during our stay. That said, it is clean, the location was very convenient to the shuttle that gets you to the park entrance, and easy to walk to nearly everything downtown - shops, restaurants, market, etc. Disappointing stay.
