The highlights were the burgers, fries, and milkshakes. All excellent.
The lowlights were the drinks (we sent one back), and the onion rings had a very strange after taste (almost fishy. Old fry oil??).
Service was friendly and efficient.
This used to be your favorite place to eat as a family, for years actually. But last visit, they had changed the menu, increase the prices on everything, removed our favorite meals, and reduce the food quality. So bummed!
The banana cream pie was 90% whipped cream! It used to be so good before, and my “once in a while treat”. This was the place where we all started liking banana cream pie, and now it sucks.
Our first time in Scottsdale and this was our first stop! We love it here, so much so that on our last day here, we stopped by for their “classic diner burger”. Love their service as we accidentally ordered the “zinburger” but realized we wanted the “classic diner burger”. The staff was so polite with us, and offered to remake our order. I even got extra EXTRA pickles :). If I could give a million stars I would!
1st time we were here. It was for restaurant week special. Burger was great quality. Fries additional and nasty. Service was not great. We went inside several times to get service including more water. Price was $44 included no sides. Should of been $33 or lower. Will prob not return can say we tried it**** * update 10/9 Kyle contacted me about our exp. He applogized and sent us $50 gift card we can use at other locations. I normally don’t update a reviews, I am becaue he is the 1st manager that has not asked me to. He took care of us and asked nothing. I respect and appreciate this.
If you like a good burger, this is a great place to try! The service was friendly and quick ???? We actually went on Christmas Eve, and the staff was in good spirits, and you can tell they are well supported. The decor was just right.. perfect combination of table service but not stuff or overly structured. ???? In the end, I ordered a Mac & cheese WITH a burger patty on top. It was delicious. The cheese was just right, and they chopped up the burger on top perfect. ???? Strongly recommended to try one of these if you get a chance ???? ???? ????

We arrived at 11am on November 10, 2024 and sat in the first or second booth on the left. The waitress was very nice and attentive.
This was our first time and we both decided upon the diner burger, which was good. I also had the truffle fries, while my husband had the regular fries. Overall, we liked the food and figured we would be back.
At the end of the meal, the ticket was brought out. We are used to using tap to pay everywhere we go; however, here, the waitress took our alternate debit/credit card and headed to the back part of the restaurant where we could not see her. Honestly, we didn't think very much about it, as she was so nice during our meal.
That night, 11/10/2024, a couple of very small charges (both less than $1-$2) popped up on our bank statement online. I must preface things and say my husband checks our bank statement every single day of the week. He is meticulous ~ down to the penny, as fraud is so prevalent. Again, we only use tap to pay everywhere we go and never let our cards get out of our sight.
On the night of 11/13/2024, a larger charge for almost $200 was showing on our online bank statement to a business we never heard of or have been to. My husband immediately called Wells Fargo and in their investigation, said that whomever charged this, entered our card information manually. Obviously, the card was cancelled and they will be sending us a new one.
I am not one to accuse, but it is evident the waitress took our debit card information at Zinburger, as we never allow that card to be out of our site. In fact, this is the first time the entire year that a server took our card away from us where we could not see it.
My husband called the restaurant and spoke to a manager on 11/14/2024. The manager was very nice and said he would speak to the others on the leadership team. That was it. He never requested my husband's contact information other than the approximate day/time we were at the restaurant. If one was to look into what might have happened, you would think they would care enough to get the contact information to get back to us with an update.
So, long story short, be careful when using your credit card at Zinburger, as you truly never know when it might be stolen.
We tried to eat and were incredibly happy that we could get in fairly quickly on a Saturday night. The service was amazing, but sadly, we waited over an hour for our food. We actually had to leave. The server was precious and let us know we were still four tickets down before we would see our food. We have always loved this place but tonight was unacceptable.
Best part I think this trip was the timing of the food. We ordered large fries (2 of us and sufficient) first. Then, the main entree a little later (waitress set the timing). It caused us to slow down, enjoy our time together, and provided time for good conversation.
If you like spicy, get the Chipotle maynaise. Just tried a drop on the finger, and it lasted 3-4 minutes.
