My family and I decided to pickup a couple of sandwiches and a pizza for lunch on Father’s day, and while I was waiting to get our takeout I noticed the place was alive with flys. When we got home we found one cooked into the cheese on the pizza ( it was a cheese pizza so it was very noticeable) and the sent it out anyway. Obviously we didn’t want to eat it so I called and told them about it and asked for a refund. After much back and forth they said they would. Our total bill was $40.25 and they said that they would only refund $6.03. So long story short, if you like extra “protein” on your food, this is the place for you. But if you are hoping for a sanitary cooking environment, look elsewhere.
The atmosphere was so terrible on the deck we considered bailing even after getting our drinks. Then we got our food which basically saved the night. The food was absolutely delicious. The music was too loud, the bar was too loud, everyone was talking super loud due to the music. There were also some pills on the floor behind us no one bothered cleaning up which was super sketchy. Other than that we'd probably do a to-go from this place just for the food.
Staff was nice but while my husband and I were eating we saw numerous cock roaches climbing on our table! Very disgusting! It will not let me respond to the comment on this review so doing it this way!! If you would look in your garbage right outside the doors we threw away the food we asked for containers for. We did not bring this up while there cause we respectfully did not want to cause a scene! This is no way near being dishonest and I saw a review today that someone 5 .I ths ago found flies in their food and they had to fight to get a refund! Do better!!
I made reservations for my son’s 21st birthday to see my favorite band playing there. I was told we could have outdoor seating if available to hopefully eat and then watch the show. I had seen bad reviews but decided to give them a chance.
We got there at 6pm and most of the deck tables were empty but I was told we HAD to eat inside because we made a reservation?
I told the staff member that’s fine but we will need a deck table after to see the band. She said that was fine.
My mistake I realized. The inside was so gloomy compared to the nice deck. It’s outdated and dark making our celebration not so good. Then there was the service. One girl took our order, another younger man delivered some of the food, and yet another man delivered the rest. The last server actually picked his backside in plain view.
My fries were cold and inedible, my son’s burger was raw, my husbands chips were small pieces from the bottom of the bag, the Alfredo was inedible, and my dad’s cheesesteak had an odor of bad cheese. NO ONE completed their meal and NO ONE ever even came back to check on us! We waited 25 minutes just to pay our bill and my dad had to call at a staff member to get someone who took another 15 minutes.
We then asked for a deck table and of course they were full at this point. We were told we could stand. When I asked why we weren’t just seated outside to begin with we were told it was per manager because of our reservation. My husband left to stand near the bar and try and get chairs which we finally got enough of after another hour.
We spent over $150 on food no one ate and fought for seats we should have had from the beginning. The bartenders were fantastic as was the band.
Perhaps the menu needs revamped to less items and increase the quality. If the owner would have sampled our meal I can’t imagine they would put their name on it. It was embarrassing that I let my parents and my son experience it. Had I known we could have had dinner elsewhere and just come for the band. Believe the reviews. They need a serious overhaul of service, food quality, atmosphere, and telling customers they can’t sit somewhere. Never again.
The food was very good!! Enjoyed sitting out on the deck! It seemed like our waitress was busy cause she took a little long to around to our table .
It's been a long time since I've been to Zia's. It's really nice to see that they have kept it up and didn't lower expectations due to the post pandemic slide that many other places seem to have experienced. Everything was excellent. The food was hot and fresh when it came to the table. Just the way it should be. The restaurant was clean and orderly throughout. We came to the restaurant a little late but we were served well and the server was attentive. Thank you very much!!
We were greeted with smiling faces. They offered us fresh baked bread which was mouth watering and flavorful and our kind waiter, Miles, was very kind, patient, and punctual. Not only did he give us a good laugh, he delivered our food in a timely manner. The presentation was immaculate and for the price we paid, it was worth it. We will be definitely coming again!
Good for locals, definitely a welcoming atmosphere. Enjoy the beers here. Some nights, they have good live music. Their outside seating is pleasant with good lighting. Their food Is good, and you typically get served pretty quickly. People coming from out of town would recommend the food and seating indoors if it's available. If expecting a fun night out, their indoor bar area and outdoor area is very fun and a good experience
