Best WLM Reviews
Don't let the four star review fool you. This is a great place to shop and eat. This review is about the bistro. We ate there for the first time today and were pleasantly surprised.
First and foremost, the service was excellent. Brian, our server, was attentive and prompt. Others joined in by swooping away emptied dishes and bringing out food. It was well timed. I ordered soup and it arrived in a few minutes. Then, a few minutes after I'd finished it, our main dishes were delivered.
As for the food, I started with a chicken gumbo. Most restaurant soup is way to salty for me, but this soup was seasoned perfectly and was delicious. My only complaint was that there was no okra in it. I realize not everyone likes okra, but it's gumbo. No self-respecting Cajun chef would leave it out.
I ordered the Garlic Chicken Wrap. Before the first bite, I knew they were serious about the garlic. I smelled it even before tasting it. It was very tasty. The chicken was grilled and seasoned well, but it was a bit overcooked and dry. It wasn't very noticeable with all the other moist ingredients, but I tried some separately because there was so much meat, I took some out of the sandwich.
My wife had the Greek Salad with salmon. She said, and I quote, "This is the best Greek salad I've ever had." The veggies were fresh and cut perfectly. The ingredients were well-balanced and the fish was cooked just right.
So glad I got to try this place before I left town. The potato leak soup and the Pumpkin soup were amazing. The Beet Salad was delicious. The Cauliflower steak was ok. And I do prefer the Steak bites at Uptown Grille down the street but they are still pretty darn good here. Friendly service. Great food and you can grocery shop and buy your vitamins and supplements after you eat. Definitely recommend checking out.
This place is fantastic! I have been in Novi for three weeks now and have not found a better restaurant or bar here! I went Monday evening for dinner and was so impressed with how good it was and how fantastic the drinks Brian made me were I brought all my coworkers that are visiting from all around the world and our wonderful server, Jamie, helped us to have a fantastic evening and really solidified the experience. Being from Seattle I’m used to spectacular food and beer. The food here is top notch and all the wonderful rare beers are something I’ve only ever seen in Seattle. If i come back to Novi again I’ll definitely be stopping by again.
First time there, and it was a nice dining experience. The food was great. Seasoned very well. I'm looking forward to dining there again soon.
Celebrated our anniversary dinner at Zerbos. After visiting several times we were confident in celebrating our special occasion as we knew it would not disappoint! And of course it didn’t! Mussel appetizer was very good. Surf and turf dinner for my husband was perfectly prepared with a beautiful presentation. I myself was craving fish and by the bartender’s suggestion ordered whitefish dynamite…IT WAS EXCELLENT… a meal I will crave. I had a hard time not ordering the Arancini because I’ve had it and it’s so so good, but we already had plenty! We’ll be back for that! Lastly, the carrot cake dessert was to die for. The menu overall is fun to explore, I’d be hard pressed to find anyone who couldn’t find something they are looking for with the variety and quality. Thank you for a wonderful anniversary meal and great service! I don’t ever leave reviews…Zerbos is definitely deserving!
Ive been a loyal customer of your restaurant for a long time, and my family and I have always enjoyed the excellent food and great service from your staff. However, I had a disappointing experience recently that I felt compelled to share.
I came in to purchase a gift card and waited patiently for almost 10 minutes while an employee was handling an online order—no big deal. However, when the manager came up, they completely overlooked me and proceeded to assist another customer who arrived after me. There was no acknowledgment, no apology, and I felt completely ignored. Even the employee that was taking the online order, gave a weird look to this behavior.
This experience was disheartening, especially considering how many times my family and I have supported your restaurant. It’s unfortunate, but this may impact our decision to return. I hope you’ll take this feedback seriously to ensure all customers are treated with fairness and respect.
This version is clear, polite, and conveys your frustration in a constructive way. It also leaves room for the management to make amends. Let me know if you’d like to tweak anything further!
Our Christmas party was a great success thanks to the hard-working, kind, and professional staff. The service was excellent, the food was tasty, and the ambiance was perfect. Their event spaces are really beautiful and we received many compliments from our guests. We look forward to celebrating with Zerbo's for years to come and would happily recommend them to our friends and family!
I'm usually more likely to give good reviews. I've had two bad experiences at this restaurant out of many times being there there. But the two bad experiences that I had are enough to make me not want to go back. I understand that mistakes happen. But the management does nothing to correct them. My first bad experience was them bringing out a seafood entree to one of my clients at a luncheon business meeting. He ordered chicken and somehow got fish for his lunch. It took 10 minutes after all the food was delivered to everyone else to find our wait staff person. By the time he came back and apologized and put in the New order and another 20 minutes went by, we all had to leave I paid for the entire group including the fish and the replacement that never came. I left a note on the table with a 20% tip asking for the manager to give me a call so that I could get reimbursed or credit for the meal that I paid for that never arrived. I never heard a word back from the manager. About a week ago. I took my kids into grab a carryout. We did some shopping and waited for our carryout. I ordered my son cheeseburger plain. I ordered my other son a chicken sandwich with no breading. I don't remember what I ordered for myself because I never got a chance to eat it. Both of my kids meals were wrong. My kids burger had onions on it. The chicken sandwich came breaded even though we had a conversation about making sure there was no breading. Neither one of my kids wanted to eat their food. One of them was disgusted because he took a bite with onions in it. I know, kids, right? In any case, I spent 15 minutes calling the place place after I got home and waited on hold and finally got to explain how they got the order wrong. They offered to let me come back to get it fixed but I could not. I asked if I could have a credit or a voucher and they said they would have to talk to the manager. It's been a week and I have not heard back from anyone. I've spent thousands of dollars at this restaurant and the one next to it. This is the kind of thing that just makes me not want to go there anymore or shop at their grocery store anymore. I'm just not important enough to them. I'm noticing a trend. These restaurants and stores either care a lot about their clients or don't seem to care at all. There's not a lot of Middle ground and more. This place is a premium place with premium cost. I really expect better service. Again, I understand mistakes happen. I believe that a good company fixes their mistakes. They realize that a single dad driving all the way home with food that is wrong is a huge inconvenience that should not have to be. It's funny because I went to this restaurant because I didn't want to have to cook and clean that night. But instead that's exactly what I ended up doing as my kids picked at my dinner for their appetizer while I was cooking.
I will say their food is usually pretty good and the people that work there are pretty nice. They are just missing on this one important part. But it's a very important part. There are too many other restaurants out there for me to have to go through this kind of thing and not be heard or considered when it happens.
