Ordered takeout. Food came nicely packaged in boxes and a reusable bag. We had 5 sushi burritos. Portion is huge and DELICIOUS! Fresh ingredients and sauces that came with were good. We had the OMG, PLU, Firecracker, Gangham style, and Zen. I honestly can't choose which one was the best. We will definitely be back frequently!
Never had a sushi burrito before but we had to try this... this place has super good food!
I definitely think you need to try this place out if your into sushi
the way they pack their poke bowls to go is genius. the washington bowl was so fresh and yummy and the interior vibes very warm and cozy.
I had heard about the “Naruto Restaurant” through a friend. I decided to take the family to lunch there after one of my softball games and this is still a family favorite. The portions are huge, the broth is unique to each dish, and the noodles definitely aldente just the way we like ours. I’m always a fan of Nachos, but when I saw they served it as a super loaded Poke version…Say Less! Wifey had the bbq pork buns; the bun was fluffy and the pork had so much flavor even without the sauce. The kids definitely enjoyed the art in reference to Naruto and the bathroom was not only clean & well stocked, but also creatively decorated to keep with that Naruto theme. I am definitely going to try their sushi burrito on the next visit. I saw another customer putting one down and that looked like a challenge in itself as they are massive! So it definitely has to be good if there was none left. But won’t know myself until I try next time; as we will definitely be back!
Amazing poke bowls with all the toppings! Ingredients tasted very fresh and proportional. Great service. Only downside is the dining area was drafty and avocado was a little hard.
Great spot for a bowl of Tonkotsu noodles! I got the standard T1. I also got a sushi burrito for lunch tomorrow! Haha…. I know a good Asian restaurant when I see one! I lived in Korea for a year!
The new girl behind the register was hustling and learning quick! Great worker, I did not catch her name however.
So we had a fun filled day showing my family from out of town around. So it came to dinner and my wife and I love Zen near our home and in downtown Tacoma. We thought it would be great because the atmosphere is fantastic and the food is amazing. So we get to this Zen location because the one on south Tacoma way is by closed from the 19th to the 24th. Not an issue we like this place so much we’ll go to a different one. Mind you the current time we pulled up to the closed zen was about 07:15 pm. So we travel to the nearest one on Garfield and park and we get here 07:25 ish. There was a person in front of us Rinka was our host and before we could order she tells us that dine in is closed. So we accepted the terms and ordered food. There was people eating all around us when she told us that. I’m a little upset and curious what time the dine in closes so I don’t have to go thru this again. She told me they close dine in 30 mins before close and on Sundays they close early. So I start thinking and realized we placed our order at 07:30 pm. The guy in front of us got to sit down and eat. I just feel like cause there was 4 of us with babies they didn’t want us in the restaurant. We get our food 10 mins later and start the drive back to the hotel and we are talking about how bad that was. It sucks because I love the place and I like to show off this restaurant to my friends and family because of how much I enjoy the place. Now the last thing we can remember is how Rinka and her crew made us feel unwanted and ran us out after they took our money. If you eat at this location call ahead to make sure they can seat you. ORRR go to a different Zen or food establishment. I took photos without putting people’s faces so it looks empty. Photo of the receipt with the timestamp 07:30 pm.
Update: after eating everything Ramen was inedible, tasted like ramen cooked in dishwater. Zen makes dishwater Ramen is our new inside joke. Never again coming here
This has been one of our favorite places for lunch ... until today. My husband and I always end up ordering the same food, salmon poke for me and chicken poke for him. We just love the food. Today, we were so disappointed. I’m not sure if they changed management, are cost-cutting, or they have a new cook. The salmon pieces were so small and barely there, the rice had a different texture, the chicken was barely there too, and the crab salad was gone! What’s going on?
