A little diner on the corner with good food. And friendly service! I was in Bay City for a funeral and stopped here for lunch. I had the Bacon Cheese burger, with chilly cheese fries. The burger was perfect, tasty and not over cooked,like so many burger joints. The chilli cheese fries hit the spot.
First time having lunch here. And was pretty good. I’ll definitely come back again once I’m back in town.
I stopped for lunch at noon and the place was fairly empty. This is a small-town diner with a large menu.
My server came right over and took my order. I went with the special, Hot Turkey with mashed potatoes and a bowl of split pea with ham soup. She brought my drink and soup right away.
The soup was really hot, but I could tell just by looking at it that I was going to like it. It was thick and full of ham chunks. You could totally tell this was a homemade soup, it was one I would get whenever it was on the menu, VERY GOOD.
After the soup, she brought me my meal, and everything looked good. The turkey was hand carved, but it looked dry to me. Good thing there was gravy on the meat because it really needed it. The mashed potatoes were good, just lacking in flavor. They really needed salt added.
Overall, I would come back, there were enough good things about this place (service, prices and homemade food) to deserve a second chance. I will be back.
What a find!! A small, "old-style" corner restaurant! Wholesome, fresh, food, reasonably priced. Pies and strawberry shortcake are superb desserts. GREAT SALADS.
Truly worth going out of your way to find. Waitress is friendly and kind.
The food was great as always! I had my usual Western omelet. Hubby ordered the club with fries, which was one of their daily specials. Great food, prices & service. One of our favorite places to go!
I got the sausage and cheese omelette with jalapeno poppers. It was delicious!! Very friendly staff. They had my food ready fast and seperated perfectly! They even include salt, pepper, jelly, silverware, and napkins! This will definitely be a regular stop from now on.
It's a great location. They have the best Detroit Coneys in the area. Waitstaff is friendly. It's a historic location and yes takes some "back in time." Prices are good. You get a good meal for a real fair price.
First time there and the food was amazing! It was a lot! Our waitress was Keri and she did an awesome job for a big crowd of people, very friendly! The diner was cute, good atmosphere and good everything. Check it out if your ever in Bay City, Michigan!
