This was our first time here and it was wonderful!! The French Toast and sausage patty’s were delicious. My daughter’s pancake was huge and equally great. And my husband’s hash browns were cooked to perfection. We will definitely be stopping by here again!!
Best hamburger steak with grilled onions and gravy I've ever had. Absolutely delicious. Two vegetables come with so do yourself a favor and try it. And Holly will take great care of you just like she did for me and everyone else. Enjoy!
First time wanted to check this place out, there was no parking left. So tried another day...later around 1ish. Was shocked how big it was indoors. Loads of places to sit. The menu was selective. Not much to choose from. No where tells you sides, or apps. I asked for a chicken dish they had on the menu but they said it had to be defrosted and take awhile to do so. I was patient. Surprised fries wasn't part of the sides could choose from. Charged extra to have it as one of two sides. Seem need a little updating indoors as well. Very outdated. When asked about the specials apple sauce was an option. I said will have that but he said we ran out...why even tell me about it. Fine, I had stewed apples instead (which was amazing) when the food came, everything was delicious even though there was set backs. Wish there was more options to choose from. The staff was good, but maybe need someone more on the ball. When I went there was no new customers coming in. Everyone left so kind of empty.
Result: Might go back if they update few things.
Truly a delight to have them open...the delightful style food is freshly made and hearty portions... The atmosphere is fresh and roomy...the staff work hard to please and are truly attentive to your needs...
.....UPdated review... The food is tasty...But the portion sizes are skimpy at best... I rather they increase the price a little so as to fill the plate ...
We wanted to try this mom & pop restaurant. What a mistake! First the lady looked at me like I had two heads. (Should have left, my fault). The waitress Anne who served us was very pleasant. Well we order our food, what a grave disaster. (McDonald's would have been better.) I order flounder and shrimp, mash potatoes and greens. Just sad..he ordered fried chops with mashed potatoes and string beans. This food had absolutely no flavor period. We tried to add salt and pepper to no avail. The coffee wasn't coffee and the ice tea was missing tea. The best thing I had was Ice water. We left most of our food and complained to one another our stomach hurt. We both had bubble gut.
Never ever again this was almost $50. Waste of time and money. Next time in Zebulon we will by past this place.
On a scale from 1 to 10 they get a 2 because Anne was so sweet.
Asked waitress SPECIFICALLY if the hotdog was a red hotdog (Eastern NC, Bright Leaf, Jesse Jones, etc.) She said yes.....The hotdogs are brown as the bottom of a bowling shoe. Not a big deal to some people, but to lie to me about it? Nope, nope, nope.............
Had breakfast , standard cafe fare, nothing bad, nothing great. Fast ticket time. Polite and attentive staff. Very reasonable prices. Would return
I had a wonderful experience here. Went for lunch during the week. Service was great and personable, atmosphere is just a small town restaurant vibe, loved it. Prices were reasonable!The Philly cheese steak was one of the best iv had, the catfish that the other people in my group had was also fantastic and recommended. Met the owner and he was very nice.
