If I had read the reviews I definitely would not have eaten at Zebs. But we didn't read the reviews and we enjoyed a delicious meal. Our jalapeño margaritas were great! The baby back ribs literally fell off the bone and were so flavorful and delicious. We also ordered a basket of fried okra and it reminded me of okra I fry at home in my cast iron skillet...so good!!! I had the trout and it was well seasoned and cooked to perfection. Overall we enjoyed the food and we experienced great service.
Genuinely the worst place I’ve ever been. I’m a server so I’m usually pretty lenient. Took 40 minutes to get our drinks. Over an hour to get our order. Food was disgusting, cold, and over priced. Looked like I was eating middle school cafeteria food for $43 and I only drank water. Homeless people were walking in and out to drink at the bar. Food was clearly either frozen or left out too long. Server was terrible. No exaggeration, the worst dining experience I’ve ever had. Save yourself the trouble and go anywhere else
I noticed a lot of negative comments, but I encourage you to look past those because we ate here today and had a great experience. The food was quite good, and the service was excellent! Could the dishes use a bit more seasoning? Sure, but they were still delicious. Could the service improve? Maybe in some small ways, but the staff was kind and made sure we had everything we needed.
We’ll definitely be eating here whenever we’re in town! Give it a try!
Late review from two weeks ago. No change. Agree with others - freezer food reheated. Walked in two hours before closing, burger was frozen patty tasting and fries were cold. Male server first stated wasn’t sure if could be seated - stated closing soon (after waiting 10 min at the door).
Unsure of drinks, didn’t check in us, felt like bothering them. Restaurant wasn’t busy (off season) and music was super loud (the group was good just stupid loud).
Outside of that, nothing special about the place or the food. Was just blah. Would rather cook at the condo or drive to Red River. Not worth the $60 for two adults and one 3 year old.
We came to town from out of state for vacation and the menu looked appealing. Unfortunately we did not read the reviews first. It seemed as though the only employee in the place was acting as both bartender and waiter, which is fine until there are multiple tables needing attention. The appetizers came out cold, the entrees came out barely warm but were also somehow burnt. I should have asked what their “Famous Catfish” was famous for, because it tasted like catfish breaded with sand. The vegetable of the day “it’s always corn” was mushy and tasted like it had been sitting for an extended period of time. The best part of the meal was a mediocre salad bar. 5 adults and 1 toddler cost in excess of $200 to get out the door, 1 couple even shared a meal. They also automatically added a 25% gratuity to the check. Will not be back!
Ribs: meat was tough and "BBQ" sauce was thick and tasted like ketchup.
Chicken fried steak: meat was tender but gravy tasteless
Food was ok. Not amazing but not bad. Just a basic meal. I had chicken fried chicken. I would eat there again. Service was kind of slow but we are in a slower area than where we are from. Reasonably priced. 2 meals was $35 with waters.
Where do I even start. The food was okay at best burger was over cooked, gravy was old and like gelatin, food was just not very good at all. Now the service he forgot our salad bar plates and silverware and he never refilled our drinks and we were the only people in there eating. Now the big part they added a 20% tip to our check it was a $50 tip for service that was not worth that so I would be careful about that. I would not go there again nor would I recommend it to someone.
