Dine in. New fries are not good. There was a piece of chewed gum on my food tray. Which, aside from nasty, indicates they don't clean the trays after each use. This used to be one of the better Zaxbys in the area. Disappointed. Attached photo of new fries and used gum that was left on the tray for us
I got the wings & things. It was a full meal. They have their own sauce (which is ok), but I prefer the Buffalo sauce.
I cannot begin to describe the level of incompetence at this location. I'm currently 12 weeks pregnant and since I was in the area, I was craving Zaxbys. I had time to spare so I placed an order on Google for pick up at 12:13 pm. I received an email confirmation, and two text messages (for order updates).
I pulled into the Zaxby parking lot and called at 12:31 pm to ask if I needed to come in or go through the drive-thru to pick up my online order when it was ready. The woman advised I could do either option. At 12:45 pm, my order was ready so I pulled into the drive-thru only to be told that there were “no online orders.”
I pulled out of line and called back. I'm not sure if it was the same person who answered, but she said “we don't have any online orders. Did you call the right location?” I told them I was coming into the restaurant because not only was I already charged, but I had order and text confirmation.
Two different people in the restaurant said that they don't have my order (without asking me what I ordered to verify). But, my order was sitting on the counter with my name on it! I showed them my orders and they still insisted that it wasn't my order and it was actually for a Postmates delivery in which I didn't pay a delivery fee.
I showed them how I placed the “order pick up” online option, my email receipts, my text receipts, and showed them my complete order. The second girl looked at the receipt on my order next to my email confirmation and STILL WOULD NOT give me my order. Instead, I had to wait to then speak to the General Manager (this is the third person at this point).
I was so angry at this point and even offered to show my driver's license. I've never experienced such a ridiculous experience at a fast-food establishment. I included screenshots of everything because I'm still astounded by what I had to experience.
Bright side: the food (though cold because of how long I waited) was very good.
Zaxby’s is a chicken restaurant chain located in Valrico, FL. Just be aware this location hasn’t seen many renovations recently. When we walked in, the AC was out. It would be best preferred to avoid dining in. However, due to mobile ordering, we had no issues with service and got our food immediately.
We got a family size meal. The chicken and boneless wings had great flavor; as well as the fries, toast, and cheese curds. However, the texture of the fries were a little off. There will be a few hiccups at any Zaxby’s locations, but still a decent place for chicken.
Despite older reviews. I Got the chicken club and the lady just told me to pull forward without telling me the price. I should have expected that since the driver ahead of me pulled away after a brief interaction over the intercom. Once I received the sandwich the bread was verry soggy like it was thawed in a microwave and could not finish it. The fries also tasted off as well, And not even 2 hours later writing this post frome the porcelain throan. This place shows no sighn of improvement
I use to like Zaxbys. The Chicken fingers were so small and hard. They must have been short on lettuce for my Zalad. Just don't think I'll be back.
Have been to this Zaxby’s many other times and have ordered cheddar bites. For the first time I experienced a purchase of $4.79 of 7 COLD cheddar bites.
Called the restaurant to see if I would be able to speak with a manager. Luckily the person who answered the phone confirmed being one of many store manager “Douglas”. Anyhow after explaining that I had only received 7 cheddar bites he tells me that Zaxby’s instructs them to serve 3.2 ounces after being cooked.
What a horrible experience, not looking forward to going here again. Extremely rude over the phone and not a good experience.
They always get your order wrong and the managers are never helpful and always rude. No clue how they are still in business.
