I had such high hopes for my visit to Hernando Zaxby's, but I left feeling extremely disappointed. To start, the service was painfully slow. I waited over 20 minutes for my order, and when I finally received it, my food was cold and unappetizing.
The chicken tenders were dry and lacked flavor, making me question if they had even been cooked fresh. The fries were soggy and seemed like they had been sitting out for far too long. Even the dipping sauces were off—one tasted expired!
Additionally, the cleanliness of the place was concerning. Tables were dirty, and the floor looked like it hadn’t been swept in days. It felt like no one cared about providing a good dining experience.
I really wanted to enjoy my meal, but this experience was a letdown. I hope they can step up their game, but unfortunately, I won't be returning anytime soon.
This is probably the best fast food in Hernando besides Mickey Ds. With that said it's still hit or miss with food quality and service. I do feel the management takes feedback seriously, and they make a real effort to keep quality and cleanliness up.
I worked at zaxbys 8 years ago and I can tell you from my experience working at this location we did not keep people waiting outside for their food for more than 5 minutes. Every single time I come to this location now whether I’ve placed an online order or not I’m forced to pull around to the front doors and wait 20 minutes for my order. Not to mention others behind me are stuck waiting just as long. What’s the point of making an online order if it’s not going to be ready when you get there. Seriously zaxbys y'all's efficiency and service is abysmal and this issue needs to be corrected. You clearly can’t see the problem with having people waiting and the line wrapped around the building with no way of exiting because of this.
Went during lunch, clean, kind & quick service. How refreshing it was to enjoy christian music playing while I ate. I will be sure to dine here more often due to their choice to Bless others in this great yet simple way.
I waited in the drive through line at the speaker waiting for my order to be taken for 20 minutes at 9:20pm. Zaxbys dosnt close until 10:00pm. I drive around the window and nobody is there to take my order. There was a little group of workers talking and they werent even behind the counter. it would be different if I showed up at 9:50 when they were closing but I was in the line at 9:20. This location of zaxbys has been going downward for a while now. Very disappointed.
Order on line said food would be ready in 20 minutes. Got to the place,told me to park somewhere else and still waited 20 more minutes until someone came out ask if am waiting for a order
If I could leave 0 stars, I definitely would. I have lived in Hernando over 20 years and have eaten at every place here a hundred times including this Zaxby’s location. Sure there have been times in the past when my order was wrong, but that’s to be expected every now and then with fast food and young(er) staff - it honestly has never been a big deal. But today!! Today, my son and I decide to dine inside. The first red flag is a staff member cussing her other staff members out telling them she’s leaving and “not to piss her off”. Second red flag is the drink machine being down (again) which has become a regular occurrence apparently. But the final straw was when my son and I are in the booth eating and a GIANT COCKROACH crawls across my sons feet & when we alert the staff, we get cussed out and talked about for saying something. How are you going to be mad at me because you have roaches?? That’s crazy. Definitely will be calling the health inspector as well. I threw the food I ordered in the trash! What a waste! I’m disappointed in the decline of this Zaxby’s and I won’t be going back.
I don’t know how to receive something to eat slaw with here. I’ve tried asking at the intercom. I’ve tried asking at the window before they tell you to pull around. There has to be a sticker only invisible to me on my windshield that says, “make eat slaw with hands”. Once or twice? I get it. 10+ times in a row where I’ve asked for it every time? Incredible.
