I frequently swing through this Zaxby’s when heading toward Tampa, since it is right off the highway. Usually they are just like every Zaxby’s - but this was quite disappointing. I had ordered 5 fingers, but the chicken was so small, I thought they had gotten the order wrong. Quality was standard for what you expect, but the portion of chicken was very disappointing.
I did bring it to the attention of the person at the counter (when I thought they gave me an incorrect order), but they were more concerned about the new customers.
So I simply ate my small portions and left.
Went to eat dinner at this location, and it says on google they close at 10. We walked in at 8:53pm, and the chairs were on top of the tables. While we were eating, one of the employees proceeded to throw buckets of soap and water to clean the floor (it was 9:15). I am not sure why they were doing this an hr before they supposedly close. I have to say I don't think I will be returning to this location.
Big let down, we have been enjoying this location alot. Other than the wait it had been decent. Today the soda tasted horrible and flat. The lady at the window was pretty good and kind to give us some condiments upon request. However, after noticing there wasn't enough to go around we stopped and went inside to request some we didn't receive and some more that we didn't have enough of. The lady at the counter was not very pleased and told us there would be a charge per packet of ketchup and mayo. Not that we would have minded necessarily but, usually they only charge for the dip/sauces. Not ketchup and mayo. And to add insult to injury she waited on the other customers ordering food. We had already paid and got our food... now cold from this unnecessary chaos. It was an excellent location for a zaxby's. I hope that this isn't the behavior and poor outlook of the management here. Not sure if we will return sadly...and will be informing anyone else of the same.
I had a decent experience at this Zaxby. Very quick service, and seemed relatively clean inside. I got the buffalo chicken salad. Portions are huge, almost too much food. Wish I could order half size. But it was still very tasty with a lot of different things in the salad. I would come hack here again.
The employees here are very slow. Actually just the cashier. The food came out quickly so they have the back kitchen figured out. A large high school basketball team came in and got food very quickly. The single fancy coke machine (touchscreen) is an annoying bottleneck when you’re waiting behind someone who has never used one before! Photos as of November 2018.
Food was pretty good, but the dining room (especially the tables) was very unsanitary. Every table has either food crumbs or dirty napkins on it. Also the restroom smells like old urine probably cause of urine covered toilet. It also had paper towels all over floor.
I would have gave it 5 Stars but I was bothered by the guy taking our order at the counter not wearing a mask. He should have had a mask on like everyone else on the team. I could see the people cooking, person cleaning the dining room and at the window taking orders wearing a mask but him right in the front when you walk in. In this covid world we live in it’s a courtesy to wear your masks to others. The dining room was super clean, Food was good and staff was nice.
This is what I expected my tacos to look like vs what I got. Unfortunately I ate ur because I was in a big rig. We were not going to turn around. But I am highly disappointed
