Ordered from the app in-store because nobody was manning the register. Found out my order sat on the back counter for about 10 minutes before I had to flag down multiple people to get them to check the name and move it to the pickup area (after they first denied it was ready). During that time, every employee walked past the completed, cooling meal multiple times without anyone checking on it or making an attempt to make it available to me, nor did they ask me if it was my order while I was waiting. It was lukewarm at best.
It seems a shift composed of septuagenarians and/or the mentally slow is not a winning formula for success.
Overall good food. Service was friendly. I had combo 3. 5 wings with 3 chicken fingers. I upgraded the drink and fries to a large. Price was $12.29. A touch pricy. The "Buffalo" wings were just average size, not really that big. And the chicken fingers were a bit smaller and scrawny. Everything tasted okay.
Food is 50/50. Sometimes it's old, cold and cooked to long. Fries are half the time not seasoned at all, barely cooked and cold.
Placed an order online and the restaurant sent out 10+ orders the were placed after. When a basic order is placed fix it and if it’s gonna take forever tell me or cancel my order. This is ridiculous with the wait times experienced.
The chicken salad portion was smaller than other places. It’s a side salad at best, and I eat Zaxby’s ALLLL the time so I know when something like this was deliberate . Chicken that on the salad was hard and cold.
We always love Zaxby’s. Unfortunately this visit we had our 3 yr old who was upset and not feeling good while we were ordering through the drive thru. I was ordering and my husband was trying to calm him down. The drive thru worker said “oh my gosh that kid” and it was just rude. As someone who has worked in customer service for 12 years, I couldn’t image that coming out of my mouth.
Sat at the speaker for 7 minutes on 6/30/24.
Had some dumb redneck revving his engine like it was my fault that this location is slow and incompetent. Won’t be back for quite a while.
I love Zaxby's. It was a joy to experience when I would visit siblings in Georgia. Then I lived there for a while. Now I'm back just visiting. The Clayton Zaxby's lives up to the chains reputation. The staff here was fantastic- super friendly, fast, and accurate. The tea and sandwich were to die for, and though their fries aren't my most favorite they definitely were cooked to the company standard. I couldn't ask for a better experience as one. If stopping by, definitely pay the Clayton location a visit.
