Be aware this place is more American take on Mexican food than Tex Mex - Mexocan food. I ordered a simple mix plate of challah, chile relleno and flauta. What I got was a soggy tostada (beans smothering a fake tostada), 1 flauta again with fake tortilla (like the chips) and a sad bell pepper slice (no poblano) drowned with a ground beef sweet cheese flavor. So yeah... still hunting for a more authentic take on Mexican food. All in all, the Coca Cola w ice was tasty.
I wanted to make sure I gave an honest review. This was my third visit, and the food and service disappointed every time. I will suggest the Shrimp Nacho or any chips, salsa or guacamole and the FROZEN MARGARITA. Make sure you get frozen. If you stick to these items, you should be fine. That's all....
Mexican restaurants are always plentiful and usually good. Zapopan has some really good food. We’ve been twice and have not been disappointed either time. The tacos are overfilled! All the food has great flavor.
Zapopan is a great spot near the interstate in Calera, AL. Cozy and bright interior with a friendly staff, the food was fresh, the salsa is great, and the tea was refreshing! Definitely recommend this for lunch or dinner if you are nearby.
We get take-out and dine-in Zapopan. The food was delicious, they have lots of dishes to choose from on the menu. My favorite dishes is steak and shrimp fajitas and ceviche. A large restaurant with a nice atmosphere, really nice decor inside and outside the restaurant, and Mexican music. Nice staff. The owner of the restaurant always welcoming.
I cannot speak highly enough about everybody involved in serving some of the best Mexican cuisine you will get in Shelby County.
They are very fast, The food is very good, they are all very friendly, We frequently get done in and carry out orders, and they consistently overperform.
I recommend getting there Mexican guacamole, It is very good and I'm not much of a guacamole connoisseur.
The portions are big and the prices are very competitive.
I would highly recommend eating here or getting some to go either way you can't go wrong
This has been my favorite Mexican restaurant since I was a child. Now my son loves it too. They're always very nice, the service is normally great, and the food is delicious.
Food wasn't cooked to order. They didn't even have the appearance of it or didn't even try to fake it. We ordered our food and like 5 minutes later we got our food. It was faster than Taco Bell.The taco salad shell was cold. My wife's chicken tacos were bland as was my beef. Service was good. The restaurant was nice.
