Great food and pleasant service. The shrimp and grits appetizer was delicious! Catfish bites are tasty and come with nice sweet potato waffle fries and some nicely seasoned corn. Good value. And the staff including Suzette, Miss Fortune and others are very attentive, welcoming and pleasant. We felt so relaxed and happy here. Great location near Public Square, Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse, and Progressive Field. We’ll be back to try some of their other dishes.
Zanzibar was a great experience. I had a lovely dinner here while visiting a friend in Cleveland. Service was amazing. Our server was Harold, and he truly was one of the best servers I’ve ever had. His greeting was entertaining and unique,
and he made great food suggestions. Thanks, Harold and the rest of the staff at Zanzibar!
Very nicely decorated. Came in on a Sunday. Soul rolls were good. Nice early 2000s RnB playing. I wish I could have more to review about so I’ll have to return and try the shaker square location next time.
The customer service was as bad as THE COLLARD GREENS????????♀️????????♀️????????♀️????????♀️ When did we Start putting SUGAR AND NO SEASONING IN GREENS they were $7.00 extra... The fish was good and macaroni could have used some love... I'm at work and won't dare drive back. But I REALLY WANT MY MONEY BACK FOR THEM GREENS????????????♀️.... IF SOMEBODY TELL U THEY'RE GOOD THEY'RE FLAT OUT LYING ????????????
Before I moved out of Cleveland I was a big fan of their shaker Hts location. I haven’t been there in years! I got word from a friend they had opened up a location in down town Cleveland, so when I came in town for a Missy Elliot concert I made a reservation! The food was even better than I remembered. I got the catfish fingers, pork chops smothered in gravy, greens & grits & everything was great.
Our server was AMIR & he made our experience even more enjoyable. The bob Marley drink he suggested was perfect.
I definitely would go back next time I’m in town.
I unexpectedly found Zanzibar and what a treasure it is. It was the soul food that I needed for lunch. The customer service was excellent from the greeter, to our fantastic waiter, and the servers bringing the food out. I had shrimp and Grits which was a delicious and filling appetizer. I also had the catfish fingers with fried cabbage and both were delicious. The mac and cheese was also good.
What a treat!!! The Zanzibar Soul Fusion Restaurant is hands down the best place that we visited on our trip! Our server Harold was not only knowledgeable about the menu but also very friendly and helpful in choosing the best items to try off the menu. He was funny and made us feel right at home! Everything was so good from the catfish to the fried green tomatoes to the honey glazed fried chicken to the soul food pasta the homemade peach cobbler????❤️????????????❤️????SO GOOD YUMMMMMM! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED ????
The portions are huge. The waffles might be the best waffle I've ever had, about they are different than the classic golden buttery waffle everyone things of. Plus where else can you get a mason jar of Kool aid?
