This location is close to our home. We go there often. Food is good, fresh and hot. The service is quick and the staff have always been polite, receptive to my way of ordering and very hard working. The last time we were there I fell down. It was an accident caused by someone who did not see that I was in back of them. The first person who rushed over to me was an employee named MIRIAM. She took complete charge, keeping the area clear, offering first aid and comfort. She insisted that I stay where I fell until I felt I could get up and then she enlisted a couple of people to help her help me up. She was amazing, caring and very kind. As long as she is there i will continue to go there. Thank you MIRIAM. You r the best.
One of my favorite restaurants mainly for their oh so yummy garlic sauce!
I was thinking about a wrap but wanted to add the hummus but once you do that, it’s the same price as a plate so I got the shawarma plate and it doesn’t disappoint
This Zankou has good garlic sauce paste also. Not all Zankou places are the same. This one is clean, friendly, has fresh chicken, rice, hummus, pickled veggies/yellow peppers. First time to stop by this location and very satisfied. Great location, not run down, easy access, ample parking in the plaza.
I used to order from this place all the time. Recently, I ordered dinner there and had my dad pick it up because he was already out. I come to find out that some disrespectful worker there not only had attitude when my dad tried to pick it up, but had the nerve to say, "We've had issues with homeless people trying to read the names off tickets and try to take orders." Like, brother what!? You compare my dad to a homeless person? The disrespect towards your customers is unreal. Not only that, but the food wasn't even good and was super dry. After years of going here, I will not be going back and I suggest you reevaluate your employees (at least that one in particular).
SEND IN THE HEALTH INSPECTOR! I did a big order at this location and every person who had the Falafel plate got really sick. One is even in the ER right now with food poisoning. This is crazy because I’ve loved Zankou for years and this has never happened.
Their food is delicious and consistently good. My reason for 2 stars is the portion size has become shockingly small. We had the chicken Tarna plate which was $16.99 and the chicken Tarna wrap $9.49 before tax and tip. I have no issue paying $17 for a plate but when I looked at it, the chicken didn't even cover the entire bottom of the plate. Perhaps it's shrinkflation or perhaps it's the cost of employees making $20 an hour now which is passed on to the consumer. Additionally, the pickled turnips were dreadful. They had no taste and they were soggy, unlike anything I've ever had from there before.
I ordered a takeout for shish and chicken. First time visiting this location. Opened box after I got home, found that the meat was severely undercooked as you can see in the photo. The whole time I was eating, food tasted a bit wierd until I flipped the piece in the photo to find the meat practically raw. Other pieces left were also similar. I dont write reviews usually but I was really unhappy.
Chicken kabob plate was delicious. The quality of the food is very good and fresh. Service is good and the dining area is clean. Had to wait for about 10 minutes but it's understandable because it was during the lunch hour. Worth waiting for the tasty food right off the grill.
