I am so disgusted and disappointed ???? with my order. I asked for a protein bowl with double rotisserie chicken and they have me all leg meat that was bruised, veiny and purple. I couldn't eat it. I'm in tears on how upsetting this is. I should have listened to the reviews and went to Burbank instead even though it's up the street from me. Terrible terrible terrible.
Enjoyed eating my common wrap. Food quality was fine. Employees were fine. Bathroom was available.
I just want to be honest with this review, I don’t want anybody to fall the same mistakes I did ordering food on this location (Granada Hills). I read some of the good and bad reviews and pretty much I did not listen to my instincts that if you find bad reviews in couple of months or just a year with different people - That’s a RED FLAG not to buy food on that location.
Before and during (2021) pandemic we buy our food here couple of times and they were great, tasty and juicy but now it’s not the same quality of food that they were used to. The Shish Kabob the taste is just like your eating a lowest quality of Top Sirloin Steak with pepper and salt not the real authentic flavor of Mediterranean food plus it’s like your eating a rubber. I was surprised the owner or managing this place did not take an action with the negative reviews - They should improve not degrade.
1 star is for the food is ready when I pick up and it’s hot and there is no missing items.
Negative 4 stars is for the burned, not juicy and tender food. I will not order here again and definitely will not recommend. I think this place is just a franchise there website to order is different from other location. Please go other location to spend your money or else you will feel sorry.
The food is magical, it is so fresh and it literally is simple but yet elegantly prepared and just some of the best food you’ve ever had. If you’ve had this type of food often you may not think about this restaurant because of subpar Experiences. However, this will change your paradigm. Dead, serious, can’t stop eating it, go have it tonight!
Walking in here is like walking into a restaurant that stopped caring. The tables were dirty, the walls were stained and damaged, the bathroom was disgusting, the servers were barely coherent, and an employee took his lunch break in the next booth behind us blasting his music... Completely not caring about the silence we were enjoying before he sat down. The food was delicious, yes ... But please clean up the spot and care a little bit.
This Zankou has good parking, but employees seemed more interested in chatting with each other than greeting or acknowledging customers. My order was missing, the famous yummy reason I love Zankou, garlic paste. I didn't realize until I got back to the place I was staying. Funny thing I had given a cash tip before I left. Had to drive back to get it and again cashiers with their backs to the register. The paste was mild tasting, I wonder if the recipe changed. I have been to numerous Zankou's, I hope the customer service isn't always this bad.
I am writing this review to give feed back because I definitely see big issues at this Zankou Chicken location. I went to to location today since I was in the area normally I go to the Zankou Chicken in Van Nuys, the fist thing I noticed was the poor condition of the location, it is small, stuffy, very poor air circulation, also it only has one small restroom that isn’t maintained very clean. The owners of this location should be ashamed of themselves for having people working under these conditions and even providing service in such poor conditions I’ve seen small restaurants who haven’t even made a name for themselves in such in way better conditions. On top of all this the garlic sauce tasted horrible must have been no good because I eat it all the time and never has it tasted like this just disgusting that I had to tasted it to know it was bad. Idk what’s going on but these issues need to be addressed asap or this location should not be allowed to keep the name Zankou Chicken because Zankou Chicken has made a good name for themselves and this is just horrible. Clearly the owner of this location isn’t investing enough money or time into the business.
Food was good and tasty. No issues with burnt food. Everything tasted fresh. Also had it delivered from DoorDash so didn’t experience the atmosphere or service.
