First time trying it and it’s the best pizza I’ve had so far in the area! The cheesy bread is buttery and delicious, and the pizza has a slight crunch to the crust which I love. Our server Hannah was kind and extremely fast getting all of our food and tending to the group. So happy to find a good pizza place and we’ll definitely be back!
First time to visit this pizza venue after reading a feature article in Tennessee Home & Farm Magazine about this unique spot. Food taste was good. Service was excellent. Pizza came out quick. We loved the Meatball appetizer! Located on Main Street in downtown Dickson.
METAL IN FOOD! First, let me say that I am not one to blast an establishment publicly without giving them multiple chances to get it right. However, today takes the cake. Second, we have loved this restaurant for the 4 years we have been going, until this year. We have had everything from rotten beets in a salad, rotten avocado, and burnt pizza numerous times. Every time these things happened, we paid our bill and tipped like we’ve always done, chalking it up to an off night. We have seen the wait staff and management change and decline. Today however, a metal spring was found in the crust of the pizza that my husband and children were eating. My husband bit into with his front teeth. The manager was never sent out. My husband had to ask to speak to him and to say that the level of customer service that was given was pitiful would be an understatement. The manager comp’d the pizza and we paid the remainder of the bill because we didn’t come for free food, however the manager had zero personality and interest in saving a customer. What’s sad is that this used to be a great establishment in our community but we won’t be returning.
Wood Fired pizza oven used in those restaurants. All food is prepared from scratch. You can actually watch them make and prepare the pizza dough here . Nice restaurant in the middle of Downtown Dickson, Tennessee
Sometimes we're in disbelief that we can have so many good experiences but here's yet another. I had the best meatballs ever! The marinara has a lightly sweet hint but not too much and it keeps it from being bitter❤️❤️. And because I love meatballs, I chose the half house salad. That salad was large! It was also perfectly constructed. I had toppings with every single bite and the lettuce was fresh and cold. I learned that it is locally sourced. It's probably the only place that I would confidently recommend the house salad. You'll be pleased. My husband had a pepperoni pizza and it too, was great.
The service was spot on too.
Overall 5 stars! We loved it all.
I NEVER give 5 stars because I feel like everyone/everything has room for improvement. However, I honestly can’t think of one negative thing to say about this place.
Clean, and organized. The staff was not only knowledgeable about the food, but were also friendly and kind.
The food though, hands down, by far was to die for! Flavorful, warm, seasoned, home made dipping sauces, crispy…I could go all day!
My friend was in from Italy and he normally judges Americanized Italian foods but even he said “okay I’m glad we came here. It taste like home!”
We came into Zander’s after a long travel day. We’d been to downtown Dickson in the past, but we’d never been to Zander’s. We loved everything about the place. We both built our own personal pizzas. I did Kalamata Olive, chopped garlic, artichoke hearts and anchovies (if that doesn’t sound delicious to you, then I don’t want to know you!! They had a great selection of local beers and the service was top notch. Our server, Jacey, was not only professional and efficient, she also had some awesome dance moves!!????????????. Bottom line; great dining experience!!
Our pizzas were burnt! I paid $53 for two large pizzas! It will be a long while before I try Zander’s again!
