I recently visited the restaurant, and overall, the experience was a mix of highs and lows. Some of the foods were a bit bland, especially the chicken ramen, which lacked depth in flavor. However, the gyoza was a highlight—perfectly crispy and flavorful. The service was excellent, with attentive and friendly staff that made the visit enjoyable. While a few dishes could use more seasoning, the overall dining experience was pleasant thanks to the quality of service.
Not sure the name of our waitress but she was a sweet heart and very attractive. The place was pretty empty but it was also pouring outside. I love that they have a happy hour, buy one get one half off: sushi’s and appetizers. If I remember correctly they had a different name but still was great service. Glad we came back.
The family ventured to Zake in Asiatown Katy, eager to indulge in my Beef Gyudon craving. While the main dish was pretty much standard, the experience wasn't entirely disappointing. The crispy Tonkatsu offered a satisfying crunch, but their seafood selections were great! The fried calamari was tender and flavorful, the Makimono Roll was fresh and well-balanced, and the Tuna sushi melted in our mouths. The attentive service staff further enhanced our dining experience, leaving us with a bittersweet memory of a meal that was almost perfect.
This was our first time visiting. Our waitress Michelle was super friendly from the moment we walked in. We had the Golden California rolls, the Korean BBQ over rice, and the Sizzling Black Pepper Steak. We killed the sushi. The steak was amazing!!! I will definitely be returning!
Amazing Japanese food. We had the tempura shrimp sushi roll, Dragon sushi roll, fried rice with ajitama and Thai chili wings. Everything tasted great! Leon provided exceptional service. Located in Asian Town Katy.

The udon noodles were okay the broth was okay nothing special just like the eel I've had better

The portions were kinda small but I was limited because I did get a togo order maybe the done in bowls are bigger?

Service is good but food is terrible. Bad sashimi - some stinks like mildew, some are still frozen. It felt like eating an ice instead of sashimi. Gyudong is not even gyudong at all. This place is not authentic nor delicious but the server was kind. Also I think menus are overpriced for its quality.
I came in yesterday to eat. It was my first time there. The food and service was wonderful. I want to say thank you to both of the Michelle's... They went above and beyond the Call of Duty and I definitely will be back. My name is Greg...and I definitely recommend this wonderful restaurant...I give it a 10 out of 10...
