Best WLM Reviews

A historic ice cream parlor with magnificent original architectures and decors, with spacious seating areas. The ambiance is quite nice and brings you back in time in the early 1900s. The staff are very welcoming and professional.
The menu is quite extensive and diverse, with multiple options for food and desserts. The ice cream is made with real milk and is heavenly delicious. Definitely recommend the peanut butter and pistachio flavors. The portions are quite large, and the prices are very reasonable.
Definitely recommend having a quick tour of the place. There’s plenty of indoor and outdoor seating areas.
We had this stop planned last year but ended up having to change our route. We had another opportunity today traveling from Nashville to Chicago. I'm sad to say the service was poor and quickly took the excitement out of our stop. The food was hot, fresh American food. We enjoyed the organs and old time vibes. And when we finally got our ice cream, it was delicious.
I actually was excited to to visit this place especially the museum side. I decided to have lunch there. Order the avocados crab with the salad pure vegetarian options and little did I know it came with protein! I had about six fruit flies and one house fly swarming around my meal. I didn't order any meat! When I told the waitress about it she said she cannot do anything about it. The manager said it's been going on for a while and she doesn't know how to take care of it. Time to reach out to the owners and the health department. Honestly it was only worth going to see the old fashioned soda machines as you walk into the facilities to the right. Skip lunch skip dinner skip the ice cream and go elsewhere unless you enjoy fruit flies in house flies and a nasty attitude from the waitress.
The outside of the restaurant looks so outdated and the grimy. Notice the video and pictures with the flies.
There is not a vegetarian option due to the flies swarming on your salad and avocado sandwich and the beverage
This old time restaurant is absolutely one of a kind! Take a step back in time and enjoy some amazing food and ambience. They stay busy, so be prepared for a wait of 30 minutes or more. It is worth the wait though. You will not be disappointed. The pricing is reasonable for what you get. They also have a spectacular selection of ice cream and dessert options. They serve a splendid traditional Indiana pork tenderloin.
The service can always use work. Some listen and some don’t even take your order correctly but the place overall is top tier. Ice cream is always fresh, quality and tasty. I love coming here, very quality!
Beyond horrible service. We tried to sit at the bar but we were told we couldn't until the hostess sat us. After 5 min the hostess appeared and sat us. I guess she failed to tell the waitress we were waiting because we sat there for 15 minutes. We asked the girl at the bar how we order and she said "with the waitress" and didn't bother to go and get her or anything. Instead she went to her friend to talk about a nap that she was going to take. Then someone else sat next to us and their order was taken before us. When we asked the waitress if she could help us because of our wait she refused saying we weren't in her section. Just horrible service!
My wife and I ate here on a Friday afternoon, around 2:30 PM. We were seated right away and shared some fries and a Banana Split. Got both very quickly. The ice cream was amazing. Worth every penny. We definitely plan on visiting here again. We were in Columbus on vacation.
Very cute/original ice cream shop with neat original soda/pop machines (photos). Originally thought it was a separate museum, but it's all in one. We were able to walk around while we waited for lunch. We ordered chicken Mac n cheese and a turkey club which were okay, probably wouldn't get them again. We also ordered the brownie sundae with peanut butter syrup, it was amazing & great amount for the price. There were also little trinkets you could get around the shop (post cards, pins, etc). I would recommend family and friends to visit.
