Start with the pickle ???? plate and end with almost anything for a delicious Jewish deli experience!
I had the tuna salad sandwich and it was deli-cious!!!!!
The atmosphere is like what you would imagine - an older deli with older people. I felt like I was on a Nora Efron movie set!
Cannot wait to be back!
The food was great, we had Chicken Matza Ball Soup and Roast beef with challah bread. They were decent and delicious.
Sheri was a waitress what a great personality . She was extremely friendly and explained the menu to us . Matzoh ball soup is a must have! Lots of options for a Healthy breakfast or if you want your regular American breakfast they have that as well. I had avocado toast with salmon with the lemon zest and a salad. My husband had poached egg with salmon with a potato base toast. it was called the Empire. When you come in, you’ll be pleasantly surprised to see all of the desserts at the countertop. Located right in Brookline!
Coming in at 7pm, the 6 of us were seated quickly.
The food was good for some and mediocre for others. My Chicken Matza Ball Soup was decent. Was it worthy of the "World Famous" title? No. Stop lying on your menus, please.
We will return for breakfast, as their bagels looked amazing.
Would recommend Zaftigs. They have a very complete menu and do a good job. Enjoyed everything we ate there and came back for another visit. Good service for a deli. They were also helpful for the huge menu. Keep it up Zaftigs.
Possibly the best breakfast spot of all time. Food is very high quality and tastey. Martha was a great server.
This review is STRICTLY for the Caesar Salad Wrap! The sauce, the lettuce, the use of real croutons and parmesan left us in AWE. Our only notes were more salad and less chicken please :) Now, let’s start talking about the sides… Hands down the best fries we’ve ever had and the potato salad is the second best after my own kitchen. We would like to award extra point for the pickle accompaniment on the plate. The price for one is $15, I’ll say before you all can… it’s a steal!!! Long story short, if you want to feel at home and eat delicious food go to our local favorite spot and have a blast!
A special shout out to Zaftigs for providing an exceptional customer service experience during a sad event. Evan was the most caring and knowledgeable associate that assisted me almost at the last minute. He never said no to any of my requests. The food was beyond excellent and the presentation outstanding. Many thanks.
