Best WLM Reviews
First, let me say our waitress Melanie was fantastic. She was attentive, engaging, and happy (which can be a difficult find in the service industry now). However, my salad had a little too much dressing, and my friend's pizza had toppings that could have been a little more evenly distributed. My husband ordered the crispy chicken ranch sandwich, and he did say it was served hot and very good. We decided to eat here before a 6:15 movie, and there was plenty of seating available. This restaurant is a nice space with pretty bar, and it is nice to have the option of taking a cocktail with you into your movie.
We enjoyed dining here before our movie on a Tuesday evening. We were greeted and taken to our seats promptly and our server was attentive and brought us everything we asked for, including multiple rounds of happy hour beer! The food is normal food. Not sure why all of the bad reviews, it's worth a try.
This was awful. Took my two kids out for lunch and a movie. Got there at the time posted they opened. The staff had arrived late and they opened 25 mins later. No big deal, we arrived in plenty of time for our movie. Ordered two kids meals and a burger. Saw the waitress one whole time in order to put in our order. 45 mins later we needed to leave to go to the movie and no food. I had to go ask the hostess for our food. Magically it's ready. Tried to get everyone to shovel in their food so we could go make our movie.
This was appalling service
Order pickup online. Got an immediate confirmation and pickup window. Got to the restaurant and they somehow lost the order. No record anywhere. We had two kids with us who were “starving” and a movie about to begin. They made the order and delivered it 30mins later, but without any silverware to eat with. Just disappointing. And sadly; this was the second such experience. The whole management of this location is just poor.
Came in for dinner before the movie with family. Server forgot a couple of drinks. Appetizers came out ok; both pizza’s ordered came out and were wrong. Wings came out late (ordered bone-in, got boneless). Never got any plates for the pizzas, so resorted to eating off my napkin. Not worth the over $150 I had to pay for the experience! Thankfully, the movie itself salvaged the evening.
Service was horrible. Waited 10–15 minutes after being seated for server to arrive, despite noting we had tickets for a movie in one hour. Brought the wrong salad which I had to eat or miss the start of the movie. Appetizer we ordered came AFTER the main course. My daughter-in-law’s pizza crust was doughy. Has to track down server to pay and then wait another 5 minutes for change, even though they knew movie was about to start. Brought a napkin to our table with some unknown yellow substance in it. Not sure how Greg Marcus allows this place to continue the association with his theater.
Pizza is pretty good. It's thin and almost cracker like which I found to be pretty interesting. We did have a Cesar Salad which was good and really large and both my husband and I were able to eat from it. The hot honey hot wings were a 10 and absolutely delicious. On game days they have a $5 off any large pizza special. This particular Zaffrino's is connected to North Shore Theater so is a great place to stop in to eat before going to watch a movie. Parking is in front and on the side. To go orders seem common as they have spaces outside for pickup and the atmosphere seems good. Our waitress was very attentive but I did notice that they have a very large sign asking for applicants and it definitely seems like a good place to work. One other thing I would like to add is that it is not loud in here. You can eat and have a conversation. Great place would definitely visit again if I was in the area.
Two bad experiences in a row in two weeks. Based on what happened I’m convinced it’s management and poor training. First time our pizza was ordered in advance of the movie. Half way through the movie I have to leave to check what’s going on. Turns out it was finished and they just never buzzed us. Ended up missing a critical part of the movie. Second time we dine in 3/4 meals are brought out with the appetizer.
Fourth meal comes out (personal pizza) and it was clearly forgotten about because it was uncooked. Also brought out the wrong salad and comped us $3. This place is not what it use to be and if this continues, it’ll tarnish the Marcus Brand.
