This is a fantastic spot for breakfast. Our local friends brought us here for a late breakfast. It seems to be popular with locals. Great traditional breakfast fare. Think eggs, bacon, breakfast sandwiches, pancakes, and much more. They also have fresh tangerine juice when it’s in season. It was so good. The staff is very good and personable. Can’t wait to go back when we’re in town.
Made a stop here on Mothers Day and got seating at the bar with no wait. Food was excellent as always and the wait staff superb. Our food arrived hot and fresh. Our coffee was refreshed frequently. French toast is my favorite and it was delicious. A Santa Cruz favorite, this place it worth a stop anytime.
This was our first visit to Zachary’s. We were greeted and seated quickly. They staff was friendly and attentive. I had the pesto scramble and it was to die for! Absolutely delicious! My husband asked for blueberry pancakes, but they didn’t have blueberries, so the server suggested strawberries and that’s what he had. Everything was fresh and tasty. We will definitely go back!
We hiked at Wilder Ranch State Park and came for a late breakfast/early lunch here. There was a line and a waitlist but it moved pretty quickly. The staff know how to efficiently manage the incoming customers. We scored a table for 2 near the window. The interior of this place is large and the tables are generous spaced apart. The "potatoes" are really tasty here. Also the "nest" presentation of the corned beef hash (eggs in center) was perfect as I love a runny egg with my hash. The pesto scramble had lots of mushrooms which were delicious. I love that this place serves homemade bread toast. (oat/molasses was very lightly sweet and didn't need any butter or jam/jelly to accompany it)
My husband went there while working in Santa Cruz. He said their sourdough pancakes were delicious. Today we went there after his surfing hour. Our dishes were delicious as he remembered. I took Mike's mess, and he did the basic breakfast with a half stack of pancakes. Very good. Nice place. Good service.
Sat outside on the mall on a pleasant Sunday morning. so happy to see a vegan breakfast. it was yummy! Tofu Mess...
The service was the minimum possible and while not unfriendly, wasn't as inviting and engaging as most breakfast places we visit. the food was good but not the best. The location is convenient
I ordered the breakfast sandwich which was super good!! It was on an oatmeal molasses bread which I've never had before. They also serve fresh squeeze juice here. We also got the sourdough pancakes which honestly weren't all that great but wanted to see if they had a different flavor than regular pancakes. The burger was good as well. Service was ok.
