Do yourself a favor and don't go there if you want to have fun! Bad service and that place is very cheap. We had a few problems. The one I will point out is that when we ordered beer the glasses were not full, I asked why and got a ridiculous answer that they don’t have small glasses for 12 ounces so that’s how they serve the beer. No need to say that we did not receive some of the food we ordered. A business like that should be out of business. We got out very upset and will never go back.
I have been ordering from Z’s for over 7 years and have been a raving fan. However, my last few orders were about $20 more than normal and just weren’t the same quality that I have grown to love. The new $45 price for the Sebastian, which is only available once a year, was disappointing. With that much of an increase I was hoping for more toppings. The garlic Parmesan bread was burnt and my 12-year-old who the order was for didn’t enjoy it as much as she used to. I’m not giving a lower rating due to my many more positive experiences in the past.
A great, quaint, spot in Boerne serving delicious brick oven pizza. The antipasti board was also a satisfying appetizer that won't ruin your appetite. Fresh toppings and herbs on the pizzas. Very friendly wait staff and employees. Excellent spot to grab some craft beer, pizza, and conversation. We will definitely return.
Excellent food. Gluten-free pizza was amazing. It's fresh made (not just a freezer crust). Husband and kiddo said their regular pizza crust was also awesome (which is house-made). Restaurant and patio are super cute, large outdoor shaded seating. Service was friendly and attentive.
Checked out Z’s Wood Fire Pizza on a Saturday afternoon. We enjoyed the antipasta board and lobster bisque which was tasty. My boyfriend had the Italian Job sandwich which he really liked. The location is pet friendly and has a decorated outdoor seating area with heaters and a fire pit.
The service however was pretty slow even though it wasn’t busy. We had to ask for our drinks after being served and were given a different type of soup than what was ordered. Dampened an otherwise good experience.
I’ve been a regular at Z’s for almost three years, and every visit has been marked by fantastic service and delicious food. The staff, from the front desk to the kitchen, are genuinely kind. Kelly the GM is one of my favorite humans. Zak and his family are wonderful as well. It’s disappointing to see some customers complain about trivial issues, like the type of glasses used or wait times for pizza, when there’s a clear sign indicating that this is not a fast food establishment. If you’re looking for quick, low-quality pizza, Little Caesars might be a better fit. I’ve seen some customers behave rudely after waiting just 35 minutes for a pizza on a busy weekend. Z’s is a small, family-run place with only one oven, and expecting Michelin-star service is unrealistic. Let’s show some appreciation and respect for this amazing local business and its hardworking staff. There are bigger issues in the world, so let’s keep things in perspective. Pizza was delicious with some of the best prosciutto and garlic toppings we've had in a long time. I'd give the pizza a 4.5 if I could because the wood fired crust was good but not the best and that is vital for a this type of restaurant. Still worth a go. We'd come back because it was so cute because there good was made quickly and delivered hot and hit the spot. I'd love to try one if the baby varieties of beer but I couldn't due to being on a road trip and antibiotics. ????
The pizza was incredible, and the service was great! But honestly, the flies were a big downside. I spent most of the night swatting them away instead of enjoying my meal. They should definitely consider getting some fly fans—it would make a huge difference to the whole experience.
