I really enjoyed my experience at Z’s. The staff was super friendly and made me feel welcome as soon as I walked in. I asked what was good they made some suggestions and I decided to go with the Cajun Steak Bites and let’s just say it was amazing and came out smoked hot!!! Thanks Steve, Arthur and the entire team for a great 1st experience. I highly recommend visiting them.
Best place we have found yet for Detroit Style Pizza. Great atmosphere, amazing food, and "Wendy" our server was phenomenal! Corner of Piquette and Woodward Ave. Wonderful local bar and eatery
Excellent fish n chips and perch meals. Fish was very tasty, fresh and good portion sizes. Nice to see on the daily menu. French fries thick and very good. Coleslaw very good, portion size below average . We were upstairs and service was a bit slow primarily due to only one person was taking care of the tables and bar. Both upper and lower levels have a bar & tables.
I stopped at Z's Villa for lunch with some co-workers. They had a Walleye fish and chips special so I decided to give it a try and it was okay. The coleslaw was pretty good though. My co-workers ordered the drink specials and didn't like them at all.
One of them ordered a "Purple Rain" but it was more brown than purple. I stuck to an old fashioned just to be on the safe side and they made it correctly. You can see that they had their regular customers that had been coming there for years based on their interactions with the staff so that was endearing and refreshing.
Came here for lunch, and I got to say this is definitely a hidden gem worth visiting. Above average bar restaurant food, things to do-cornhole, a full size sand volleyball court. The place itself is an old Detroit home turned restaurant, come check it out for yourselves! Also has an indoor and outdoor seating and bars
Nice place. Loved the atmosphere although the first level inside is kind of small. Food & service great. Great music.
The food and staff are amazing! Had a group dinner and everyone was happy with the service and the food. The Cajun Steak Bites is to die for! Will definitely come back to try the other menu.
12/8/2024: Came here with some old friends and for a meal. Got the chicken strips as an appetizer, a double pep pizza, and 2 drinks(cranberry vodka, cranberry fizz).
The chicken strips were just large chicken nuggets. They weren't bad, but not what I expect when it says "chicken strips" on the menu. The pizza was okay; it tasted really cheesy, like they added some other kind of cheese besides mozzarella, and was maybe a bit salty. I didn't like the cranberry fizz that much(think it was champange + cranberry + other stuffs), but the cranberry vodka wasn't bad. It wasn't that strong, and I think they put salt around the glass, which i didn't care for(usually expect it to be sugar).
The waitresses were decently attentive and their service was solid. No real complaints.
I don't think this place was bad; its good enough to come back to, but other places offer better food(for a higher price ofc), so I don't see myself doing so unless others in my entourage want to.
