We were visiting Cary for a festival and rented a VBRO. We wanted to be where we could walk to places. We found this adorable Japanese restaurant within a 10 minute walk of our apt. The decor was very Japanese minimalistic, lovey art, quiet and peaceful. All our servers and sushi bar chefs, were impeccable with their kindness and service. We shared a bento box and some dumplings, which was plenty of food for us. We also got a yummy cold sake. I wish we lived closer, we would be regulars here.
Excellent Japanese Cuisine. Friendly staff. We sat at the bar. We had a bento box with a salmon salad , pot stickers, and TYKU saki.
Super cute restaurant! I had the Excalibur roll, some of the best sushi I’ve had. Lots of seating and amazing decorations. Food presentation is beautiful here. I recommend checking this place out!
Food presentation was a 5. Tempura shrimp was all tempura and very little shrimp. Noodle dish was flavorful but really heavy on the sauce. Very rich. I've read other reviews who also complain that their food is swimming in sauce so if you order a dish with sauce ask for light sauce. Miso soup was excellent.
Was it good? Yes. I'd eat here again. Was it 5 stars? No. 4 stars is more than fair in my opinion but everyones taste is subjective. I would recommend as good eats.
The service was very good and the server friendly. 99.5 health rating. Restaurant was clean and the server was very attentive. Food came out in about 15 minutes. I read from another reviewer that they waited 40 minutes for take out. I haven't had that experience here.
Started with a tea, miso soup and veggie salad. I had beef teriyaki for my dinner and chicken katsu for the wifey. The sashimi tuna was the best for me. The cuts of their sashimi were just right and thicker than anywhere else. Well worth for the price of meal. It passed my taste buds with the sushi grade for the freshness of their fish.
To top it all…I completely devoured my food!
The service was pretty darn good! We were seated immediately. Waitress refilled our waters/soda. I ordered the tonkatsu with rice and was pleasantly surprised by the portion size. It was delicious! My partner got a hand roll combo that looked delicious as well.
The food is not quite worth the price, but we may come back again sometime to try their sushi.
A little disappointed. The avocado was hard and bitter, not ripe. The tempura shrimp was cold and stale. Obviously not cooked fresh, which is surprising considering how long it took to get my food. (almost 30 mins) The waitress was nice and attentive but service was slow due to only her there serving 5 tables at 3pm after lunch. No specials. A little pricey. Nice, clean environment.
Excellent sashimi and sushi, presentation was beautiful! Food was amazing, Service was excellent. Great atmosphere! Love this place! Will definitely be back… Thank you Yuri Japanese Restaurant for the amazing dining experience.
