Best WLM Reviews
Clean, authentic decor, pleasant setting, friendly waitresses, spicy authentic Hunan flavors! Mapo tofu, walnut shrimps and Special Seethed Fish to die for ... at a very amazing price and generous portion.
The best Spicy Food Restaurant in Southern California in the Valley rivaling Z&Y in Chinatown San Francisco. Gotta try this, feel really cleansing after dining here! The restaurant interior decor is NOT the usual tacky Chinese, this one is tastefully done however simple though not fancy at all. The outside restaurant front is part of a plaza difficult to enter from freeway 60 exit though parking is plenty and very practical as it is right in front of the restaurant. One can not find this restaurant easily thus remain a hidden jewel. The food is quality, incredibly tasting (with Szechuan super healthy hot peppers) and the waitresses are friendly (yah a much welcomed service:)
By reading the bad reviews, I noticed they ordered the wrong dishes. We usually stick with the most popular dishes and sure enough, they are delicious.
First, we order the cold dishes by the display. The shredded potato is a must. Next is the seawood. And third, we usually pick a spicy meat. I love their chilli sauce. It has a nice kick of spiceness and flavor.
For main entree, I love the chicken noodle soup. It's perfect on a rainy day. The noodle is so light that just melts in your mouth.
Their fried spare ribs are delicious as well. We devour the whole dish.
Another dish we love is the fish fillet with tofu.
i could give 0 star . The walnut shrimp is definitely unhealthy oil made . The waitress here is so unrespectable. i'm a chinese so i know how it supposed to cook , restaurant is so under quality pls forget about coming here . The food and experience are just terrible .
Our family has been buying for this place for years but recently after eating the cold appetizer plate we had severe vomiting and diarrhea, pretty sure that is food poisoning. Very disappointed. Be aware of the food quality from this place.
I would give them negative star if possible. Not authentic at all. I have never had a worse Yunan rice noodles than this one. The soup was like plain water with a few chicken floating on it. Usually Yunan Rice noodles would have a broth that’s hot enough to cook a quail egg well done and they should let the customers do it. This restaurant did not offer this choice to customers at all. Not even having a raw quail egg like they should. Did not accept many types of credit card. But they never said it was authentic so please choose wisely.
I have never been to a Chinese restaurant this bad! This is the worst. The Beef Broccoli sauce tasted like it was made with packet sauce sold at grocery stores. The orange chicken was tasteless and runny almost slimy the chicken was not fried or battered. For what it was very overpriced. Awful!
As a restaurant, serving a noodle soup like this is confusing and unprofessional.
Came today 6/30 this afternoon,
When I walked in, there is no customer at all, And the whole restaurant was lights off, looks very dark , like it was closed !!! I was shocked and think what happened ?
After I looked at the menu and think what to order, I couldn't even see the menu because it's dark, and the staff didn't even want to turn on the light ???!!
I said "there is no light ? "
Very bad customer service, now i understand why there is no customer at all on a regular Sunday!
Will not come back.
