Best WLM Reviews
Decided to come here for the lunch buffet. Was very impressed with every dish they had in the buffet! Everything had great flavor and they stayed true to traditional Thai flavors. I was even surprised that the papaya salad had good flavor!
I asked for a lunch menu to order a to go order and service was slow for that, but other than that, very good food. Worth a try!
I was craving the garlicky broth in Thai chicken rice soup w/o having to make myself. I went in at 5:30 and I was the only person in restaurant, the host seemed a little confused for some reason at first then had me choose my table. I ordered a hot jasmine tea and chicken noodle soup(rice noodles, slightly overcooked) which was served w/ a few spicy condiments. It was topped with/ bean sprouts, crushed peanuts and scallions. The broth was a pale color, lacking flavor though fresh lime throughout but I needed more garlic and cilantro as I’ve had in others. It was fine but don’t think I’d rush back for it. $14
Great atmosphere, great service, very polite gentleman served us.
I’m really sensitive to spicy foods and asked for mild sweet and sour stir fried chicken and unfortunately the level of spice was still too spicy to even be able to comfortably enjoy the food.
Next time I’ll have to stick to the usual Pad see ew I order at all the other Thai places I go to.
I've gone to this restaurant with both owners, and I actually prefer the food with the new owner. I believe currently this is the best Thai restaurant in town. The food is flavorful, authentic, and portions are large.
Unfortunately it's not Yummy anymore.
Ordered Pad Thai wanting to see if this is still my favorite place after the change in ownership. I really wanted it to be great still.
But this just isn't it. The noodles are overcooked and mushy. It's very sour and tastes fishy.
Also all the garnish is gone. This used to come with carrots, green onion, etc. This had like 2 green onions in it. It's a bowl full of mushy overcooked noodles and eggs with excessive sour fish sauce. Very disappointed.
My previous review was 5 stars but after the change in ownership this is just not working.
We will give it a few months to see if they can get it together. I can't imagine the challenge of trying to cook someone else's menu that has to be difficult.
I went from "I can't believe I ate that whole thing." To "I think I'll make a sandwich." It was honestly disgusting. I'm sad because this was the best Thai in St Pete and now it's inedible.
To the new owners: I'm very sorry. I hope it's just some getting started snags and I do wish you well. We will try again in a few months.
Yummy Thai used to be my go to Thai place. I came in for dinner tonight not knowing they changed ownerships. I ordered my usual meal thinking it would be a safe option. Unfortunately, the food does not taste the same as before. The garlic stir-fry had no flavor. While the portion size was good, I cannot recommend this new version of "Yummy Thai."
The dining room temperature made it very uncomfortable to eat. Not sure if they turned the AC off or just kept it at a high temperature.
Great food. The appetizer was really tasty and the entree was even better. The atmosphere is laid back and the owners are really nice. The food was delicious and the cost was roughly $20
A great Thai place. Been coming here for years..what sets this place apart from my other favorite Thai restaurants is the awesome lunch buffet. It's a small one but everything is great.
