Best WLM Reviews
This restaurant is absolutely beautiful. I was immediately captivated by the art on the outside of the building, which gives it a unique charm. The vibe inside is all about family and friends—it has a welcoming, communal atmosphere. Every table is equipped with a spinning disk at the center, perfect for sharing food family-style. Unfortunately, since we got our food to-go, we didn’t get to experience this, but I can imagine it would make for a fun dining experience.
The staff was incredibly kind and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed while ordering and waiting. For my meal, I chose the Yang Chow fried rice and egg rolls. Unfortunately, both dishes fell short in terms of flavor. The egg rolls were very small, resembling more of a spring roll, though they were fresh and crispy. Personally, I wouldn’t order them again, but if you’re a fan of spring rolls, you might enjoy them—just be sure to ask for extra dipping sauce to boost the flavor.
The Yang Chow fried rice was fresh, served hot, and had shrimp and BBQ pork, which I thought were great additions. However, the rice still needed more flavor overall. I ended up adding chili oil and soy sauce, which really elevated the dish, bringing it close to perfection. But if you’re not into spicy food, this might not be for you. I’d definitely order the rice again, but I’d hope they improve the seasoning so I wouldn’t have to add sauce myself.
In the end, while I truly loved the ambiance and atmosphere, a lot of the food could benefit from a little more seasoning to match the beautiful surroundings. With just a bit more flavor, this place could easily be a go-to spot for family-style dining.
The place might be a little tough to find since the building is facing close to the street. The parking for the restaurant is tight and limited. The decor is fine and a little dark. The service was very good. We had dim sum for lunch and was very good. They do have a full menu available.
We went there for lunch and ordered 4 items: lunch special spicy yummy combo, shanghai style dumplings, steamed rice roll with bbq pork, and stuffed tofu. The combo was not spicy at all. Other foods are good. However, the waitress was terrible. She threw the napkins on the table in front of us. She didn’t focus on our table. We will never come back again even the food tasted good.
Came here for dinner with some friends and the food was pretty good overall. However, service could’ve been improved - one of our servers seemed a bit rude but the overall restaurant was spacious and clean. Would recommend the house special fried rice and Mongolian pork. Prices were also reasonable, we spent $30 per person on 5 dishes.
Yummy House is a delicious Chinese restaurant in Tampa. We visited for a weekday lunch. The restaurant started filling up soon after we arrived. Our drink and meal orders were taken quickly. The food was absolutely delicious. The portions are large. Our waiter, Waley, checked in us frequently and kept our drinks filled. We will definitely go back when we are in Tampa.
This un- assuming restaurant right off of the main road doesn't look like much. If I did not Google it I would never would have found it.
They have a very large menu but I have my mind set on half of a roast duck. It was not on the menu however so I asked the waiter and he told me they do have it for $25 for half a duck.
I also want to try the crab and fish maw soup. Fish maw is the swim bladder and I never had it. The bowl came out and you could probably have four cups from it. I asked the lady what condiments do people normally use which was red vinegar and hot chili sauce. This made the soup went over the top I almost ate the whole giant bowl myself. Highly highly recommended if you enjoy savory soup.
The Roast duck came out it too was pretty good not dried like some places. I've had a roast duck many times and this one is near the top.
All the servers were Asian which probably means the owners and the cook were as well. This is a good thing because you will get authentic Chinese food not the Panda Express kind.
It was $20 for the soup 25.00 for the duck and $2.95 for the hot tea.
Very filling. I would definitely go back there again. And if you're looking for an authentic Chinese food experience definitely give these people a shot.
Food was mediocre at best and service was even worse. I ordered Hong Kong style noodles, Szechuan pork, roast duck, garlic chicken and fried rice. None of these foods are new to me, I’ve grown up eating these food. The food came out really fast, less than 10 minutes after ordering but all of it was bland. Frozen food from the grocery store tastes better than this. Our service was horrible. I barely saw her, she didn’t even help me box my leftovers. All of this and I still tipped her 22%. We had five boxes of leftover and she only brought one bag. I called her over, she looked me dead in the eyes, and then walked away. I’d take my tip back if I could.
Leaves in tea. No sriracha. Walkway through server station. Great food- ghetto everything else. I was really looking forward to eat here for my birthday, left a little embarrassed. Do better
