Amazing Affordable Indian Food in the Heart of Birmingham
If you’re looking for flavorful, affordable Indian cuisine in Birmingham, this spot is a must-try! The butter chicken was rich, creamy, and perfectly spiced, with tender pieces of chicken that melt in your mouth. Pair it with their garlic naan, which was fresh, soft, and loaded with garlic goodness, and you’re in for a treat. The portion sizes were generous, making it an excellent value for the price.
To finish, the rice pudding was a delightful surprise—light, fragrant, and just the right amount of sweetness. The cozy atmosphere and friendly service were the cherry on top. Highly recommend this hidden gem for a satisfying and budget-friendly Indian meal!
I ordered the spicy basil chicken stir fry, and order of spring rolls and some Momo(not pictured). Everything was incredible. I got medium spicy and it was a nice heat without melting my insides! The spring rolls were fresh and crispy.
It wasn't busy, the staff was nice, and once your food was delivered, they weren't hovering around every 5 seconds. Very appreciated to be able to eat peacefully, but were quick to bring a refill when needed!
My only complaint was it was quite stuffy in the restaurant. No AC made it a bit uncomfortable, but otherwise I really enjoyed it and will definitely return on a future Birmingham visit.
We stopped here for the first time when we were in town for a concert. I tried the Spicy Basil Chicken and my hubby tried the Butter Chicken. We also had the naan bread. Everything was delicious. Based on other reviewers, I got mine medium spicy—next time I will definitely get it hot. It wasn’t very crowded and the service was good. We’ll definitely be back.
Stopped in for a quick bite on my way through town and was Very Happy I found this place! I had a very simple rice, Spicy ???? curry and tofu dish with a drink that Totally hit the spot! Super fast service, very friendly staff and super chill Music and atmosphere! Definitely hope to come back in the future and thank you Very much for a Pleasant experience! ????????????
What I ordered today, I would definitely reorder. It was extremely tasteful. The also tried the bread with raisins, cherry and nuts. I would have preferred a little more sweetness but my daughter felt some bits were too sweet which proofs tastebuds do not agree.
Service was AMAZING! Everything came quick. Food was fresh and hot. My boyfriend got the Drunken Noodles to go for lunch the next day. You have to try the slushees (not pictured), they were really good and fruity. We also tried the Hot Sake, it was very smooth. We will definitely be back! Food is affordable and the location is convenient.
The restaurant has a permeating stickiness to everything that is kind of hard to ignore. The table is sticky, the seats are sticky and it's lowkey a bit distracting and gross. The momos are pretty good and it came with a good chutney. Their mountain noodles are a bit too sweet but it's pretty good helping of seafood in it. Definitely get the mango lassi though, it's one of the best I've had.
I was looking for a good momo place in Birmingham, and I found Yummefy.
Momo (6 piece or 10 piece) is so good.
