Old school atmosphere, put you in the 80’s mood. The hotdogs are supreme, reminds me of my childhood in the 70’s and 80’s. I will definitely come back here when I’m in Greensboro. The young people working in there have great customer service skills.
Just a great old fashioned hot dog place. No fuss. No thrilled. Just damn good hot dogs. Go all the way.
Simple menu, friendly service & great prices. My bus full of high school students toured Greensboro today & finished with ice cream here. I had to try the Works! Boy, I finished those soft, fresh fluffy fresh buns on those pink hot dogs in 3 bites each. The minced onions were a new enjoyable experience also. CASH ONLY & I LOVED THE ROOMY PARKING LOT.
I’ve been to Yum Yum Better Ice Cream so many times in my life. The hot dogs are fantastic and an interesting pink color, and the ice cream is to die for. Everything is very affordable and there is an ATM nearby to get cash (cash only)
Ordered a Butter Pecan + Strawberry in a cup. True definition of "underrated"
Then asked the staff to give me a mystery milkshake. Got a chocolate and banana shake which is amazing
Best ice cream in NC! Went to the corner location as a little child and enjoyed the current location in college. Started taking my kids and they are big fans too. Just brought my 86 year old father his favorite flavor, butter pecan!
Our family has eaten at Yum Yum's for many years. The hot dogs and ice cream are the best. It is a real treat to stop by when I visit Greensboro
Ladies in my aqua aerobics class love Yum Yums icecream and some really enjoy their hotdogs. Ive never been so I went there to see the layout & taste the food. I ordered 5 different flavors of icecream (pint) to include pumpkin, pineapple and chocolate almond. I ordered 1 hotdog with the works: chili, cold slaw mustard and i think onions.
Icecream: i am not a fan of their icecream. There icecream is homemade, not sweet ???????? and has great texture. However, seriously lacks in flavor. Especially, the pumpkin only tasted nutmeg. The chocolate was not chocolaty (reminded me of a coco pack used to make a coco drink with lots of water).
I see why ppl like their homemade icecream because its not overly sweet. But I personally would like to taste more of the intended flavor. I love love chocolate flavor but (to me) i was not getting enough of a chocolate taste. Low sugar chocolate homemade icecream can be chocolaty without adding more sugar.
Hotdog: the chili was great and so was the coleslaw. The reddish pink color hotdog i am not a fan of. But Im glad I tried it.
