It's always sketchy trying a new sushi place, so when this place was recommended to us, we had to give it a try. We sat at the sushi bar and were blown away. The various sushi rolls were plated so beautifully that I almost didn't want to ruin the presentation. The Lion King was, by far, our favorite. We've already been twice in the past 3 weeks and drive an hour just to get here. Totally worth it! Highly recommend!!
This is the best place I have been to in Johnson City! Friendly staff, AMAZING food, and awesome customer service. This is just one of many that is delicious!
I went for there lunch special and it was over the top great. The price was under 30 dollars for the 2 sushi rolls i got. They were the beauty and the beast and the lion king. Which were really good. When I first got there. They asked if it was just me by myself which it was.What's then she asked? How do I prefer to sit down? I asked her if I could sit at the sushi bar and have nobody to my left and right. Which they even said that was fine. We'll be coming back here and we'll be telling my friends all about this great place.
My dad and I came here because it’s truly my favorite spot to get ramen and my dad wanted to try it. Our waitress was fantastic, however my dad accidentally left his leftovers and we realized it as soon as we got to the front door. Not even a minute after we stepped away from our table. When my dad went back to retrieve his food that he spent $20 on it was already thrown away. I just think it’s pretty inconsiderate and it was definitely disappointing. Other than that our experience was great.
went here for a vegetarian lunch and was happy to find they had vegetable ramen. You can get a little soup with your ramen, but I made the mistake of getting the mushroom soup, which is chicken broth. I probably should have chosen the miso soup. The salad was standard iceberg lettuce, which seems to be common around this area. However, the service made up for it, and the food was hot and tasty, even for takeout.
Walked in for Friday dinner. It was so smoky I couldn’t breathe. As I was trying to decide whether to stay or go , the couple in front of me asked the host if they could sit outside because of how much smoke was inside the restaurant from the hibachi grill. It was that bad…Didn’t get to try any food due to smokiness. When I got back in my car, I smelled like grill smoke and soy sauce after only being in there for five minutes. The host was doing his best to accommodate and apologize.
I got the tokotsu ramen. It was really bad, but that's just because I forgot to ask them to take the bamboo out. I also got the miso soup, forgetting it usually has tofu in it, forgot to ask them if they could make it without, and didn't enjoy my food, but the noodles and meaf and seaweed and egg were good. Also, their nigiri comes with only 2 pieces, so if you want raw fish, just get sashimi. It has 8 pieces.
I don't typically photograph my dinner, but this was indeed special. We ate on the patio and really enjoyed the atmosphere.
