Peanut butter chicken is on another level fire. If ya know, ya know. South side, we don’t got chicken like this, north side beat us on this one. Felling great full for this meal and thankfull for the people I call “friend” today.
Ordered ahead of time, and when I walked in, the cashier told me the same amount of time to wait as the person who took my order. No napkins or utensils. Surpricely even tho the peanut chicken sauce was over topling and outside it's container it was good.
Absolutely the best chinese food I have had in quite some time, and surely the best I've had in Minneapolis, period. I was more than happy to wait 30 minutes for three dishes because it was so fresh. It was clear that nothing had been sitting in a hot-holder all day, the proteins were fresh (not slimy or chewy like it is at so many other places), everything was perfect. I was also very happy with the amount of food I got for what I spent. 100% will be ordering here regularly! (I ordered Vegetable Mei Fun, Roast Pork Chow Mein, Roast Pork Fried Rice, and Roast Pork with Broccoli).
Food didn’t taste that fresh and had a staple in my food now that I’m looking at reviews I see this isn’t the first time it had happened literally chewed it ordered the peanut butter chicken and egg rolls no egg roll sauce no utensils bag covered in oil or whatever
It says they are open ("opened at 11am)but there is no one in the building but some lady answered the phone and said they were open I pulled the door handle and of course it's locked and it is now 11:20am. There is at least 3 other people who ordered online or via phone yet the door is locked and no one is in the building.
So we went there about a month ago, and it was delicious. we had the peanut butter chicken. The chicken fried rice could've used more flavor but still better than most. Also, the Singapore Mai fun was really good. Some places add too much curry powder, which makes the texture gritty, but this place made it perfect. Some of the prices on the menu are wrong, though, so beware. at that time, I gave it 5 stars, food, 5 stars.
Now I went there last night 1/10/24 we ordered the exact same thing and it was totally different food, totally different chicken fried rice and Singapore mai fun I don't know what seasoning they put in there but it wasn't right and it was bad the taste lingered I could taste it all day. We called and they said next time we can get a free meal but we spent $27 and we live 1/2 hour away we are not going to drive back into the city to return the food that was not good and if it wasn't going to be the same food as a month ago we would've chosen to eat something different. We still ate the peanut butter chicken and rice, but nowhere near as good, and I spent about $15 on the rice noodles that most likely will be going in the trash.
So I was in the area and decided to try again and it was delicious. I had lunch where you can get rice and or noodles with two sides they have a hot bar for you to choose from it was great. I had rice and noodles with peanut butter chicken and pork mushroom, something it was so good! This place hasn't been the most consistent, but it's still better than most, and that's on a bad day.
They pretend to do their own delivery but as soon as I hung up the phone I got a text from Uber saying my order was received. So they literally placed an Uber order on my behalf without my consent. This was 35 min ago and I Still haven't received the food so it will be interesting to see if it's cold ????
Edited review: Don't bother doing delivery. A half hour after the end of the delivery window passed, and after two separate phone calls saying my food was on the way (I live less than 2 miles away), the food still hadn't appeared. Called again to check, was assured the driver was on his way but no actual ETA.
Get the peanut butter chicken. It might sound silly. It's so good. Strips of chicken that are fried crispy and then soaked in a peanut butter sauce. It's somehow crispy and savory but not too heavy all at the same time. The General Tso's chicken is Minnesota spicy, but has a great flavor to it. Both are a fantastic value for their price.
