We had 7 adults and 1 baby. All the high chairs (4) were being used by one party so we had none. The food was excellent but every time we have gone there the service stunk. This time it was the worst all of us had experienced. It took 45 minutes to take our order. Then the waiter ordered one item wrong. When we pointed it out, they said they would remake it but had to pay for both. We just canceled it and when we wanted it removed from the bill, we had to talk to the manager. He removed it and said the waiter would have it taken out of his pay. Since we had a party of 8, they charged us for the tip (20%) automatically. We were ignored through the whole time because the waiter knew the tip was added to the bill. If you want to go there, I would suggest carry out because that way you don't have to put up with the worst service ever given in a restaurant. We will NEVER go back.
When I walked in, I was greeted with a smile and the ambience is amazing and clean. I definitely had a hard time choosing from the menu because of how good everything looks.
I had the Yu's noodle soup as it's their bedt seller and I highly recommend it . The soup definitely satisfied my craving for something hot and spicy in this cold weather.
The service was impeccable. They knew I was full and got the to go box before I could even call them. Even helped to neatly pack them. Will definitely visit this place again with my family.
The food was amazing with great quality! The comfortable high-backed sofas and elegant Chinese accessories create a dining atmosphere that is both lovely and refined. I highly recommend Szechwan Beef, Taiwan Beef Noddle Soup and Sauced Duck!
I’ve grown up with Yu’s from the time it was a small corner store in Schaumburg. When they opened in VH we’d been meaning to try it. It was good be in the area to try.
Service was fast and good. The robot does some of the work so tipping gets confusing. The prices were much more comparable for the food versus the Schaumburg store. They’ve raised prices kind of ridiculously at Schaumburg and the portions are smaller. The portions were better at this VH location.
The dimsum is expensive and not worth it. Weird aftertaste with the pork buns. The picture won’t show but weird taste in the pork and bread. The shrimp “eggroll” was okay. Not the best. Not the worst.
The Mongolian beef was good. Lots of beef and onions and green onions too. It wasn’t just full of fried noodles.
The noodle soup was good. Flavor was good and it did hit the spot.
It’s a little weird with the setting. Quiet, no music. Seat yourself which is nice but also strange to me.
I ordered three dishes from you on Wednesday, the lobster with spring onion and ginger, boiled beef and chicken wings on a stick were all very tasty and generous, the price was very affordable, our family and friends from China were very happy with the food!
Fantastic, authentic Chinese food delivered to your table by robots. What more could you ask for!
I have yet to have something here that was not amazing. I am lucky to live right Dow the street.
Recommendations: won ton soup, beef sticks, lettuce wraps, sweet & sour and/or sesame chicken. I know, pretty standard stuff, but really good!
Yu's VH has sadly declined over the past several years. The quality of the food has always remained very high quality (best Mongolian Beef around). But the portions have become significantly smaller and the service is rarely above average. Get rid of the kitschy robot and spend your profits on better servers and bigger portions.
Best place to go for family, dates and celebrations.
This is the second time me and my husband came here, will come again and again! Best Chinese restaurant ever in north Illinois!
Boiled chicken chops are rly good, we always order much more than we can eat haha.
